Eternal Silence releases 3 renders of the UTF Corvette along with great news on the testing front.

This week we continue our regular news updates with a look at UTF Corvettes. Much like their NGM counterpart, these corvettes are used for quickly reinforcing a capital ship and providing an offensive advantage to the UTF in any scenario.

Corvettes are a new feature in 3.0 and they serve a major role in the gameplay. They will be an integral part of the initial phase of a battle, where the first team to lose their corvettes will be put on the defensive. They also provide excellent support for a capital ship and protect it against bombers and other ships. They will come in many flavours, including flak corvettes, missile corvettes and beam corvettes.

In testing news, we've squashed another major bug this week, one that I'm sure most of you will not miss. The "Big Ship" bug has been put to rest through a clever combination of fixes. The symptoms of the bug have been minimized so that players who trigger it as instantly killed and the server is no longer taken for a ride. This brings our internal build to a very stable state and we're now ready to focus entirely on polish.

i cant really see many of the errors you're referring to source (not saying they aren't there I just can't see em). There does appear to be some hard lines on the texture in places that could do with being smoothed. Otherwise as usual this is a top quality piece of work imo...i'm still a bit confused by what function the ship serves is it orderable by the cap ship (i.e. can it be told to attack objectives) or does it just perform as a mobile gun platform. Keep up the great work guys u got a fan here just on your art and style alone.

Not quite, corvettes serve as support for the capship, they're not player controlled. They do spice up the battles though.
