After completing the Multiplayer version 1936 Spain in flames COD2, I have started some time ago the Single Player version. This consists of three parts that will be published according to each part is completed. This mod is the story of the Spanish civil war, between 1936 and 1939, accompanied by approximately 24 missions recreating the most important battles of the war. Currently the first part is available for download, although so far only in Spanish version. For the start of the second and third part is also included in English. Some tasks are about the siege of the Alcazar of Toledo, the battles of Madrid, Jarama, Guadalajara, the Ebro or the bombing of Guernica, among others. The mod brings new vehicles where some part of the objectives, there will also be a mission that will use a T-26 tank. Also included are new weapons and new skins.

Looks really promising. However the game does not open here. The console says:

Excellent!!! This war has been purposefully forgotten for decades resultant to its very pertinent and, to those in power, dangerous political messages (on the Republican side). More political program applications from both sides would have really added to it, but otherwise a great mod!!

Use that thing that God gave us by the name of google and download it and install manually. You'll lose only 5-6 minutes of your life :)
Yeah but mss.dll via internet downlaods are virus covered, you should already have the mss.dll in the mod. Oh and god didn't create the internet, humans did, so "good job" on your sarcasm.
Now I see I dont have the file neither on my PC..will have to download the mod to see what happens...

Patch COD 2 to version 1.3 and it will work
Ok, then if you have mss.dll on your PC, did you check that its in the right folder, maybe tried to copy it to the CoD2 folder where the executables are?
And the "God" part. It's an expression in my country, and I couldn't care less 'cause I dont't belevie in God anyway.

I'm having the: The program cant start because mss32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem. I've tried reinstalling multiple times, if someone could just give me a link where I can manually install the mod without The setup.exe that would be helpful :)
