A teaser trailer showcasing the latest build of the mod. There are still a few things in here that are still being worked on, but overall this is a unedited part from the single player campaign as it is.
The footage was shot half way through the game. It shows the mossberg and m4 and some of the common enemies. The sodiers now are able to throw grenades which adds another layer of tactics to be used while fighting them, mainly, do not stay in one spot for too long as you will see at the end of the teaser.
I hope this video will make you guys a bit more curious and give another reason to anticipate it's release. Thank you for watching and as always, comments and critics are welcome.

It looks great, yet the first zombie you run into looks a bit ridiculous lol. I LOVED the sounds when you came near the military, they were awesome :D
hehe, I like the zombie, I don't see in what way it looks rediculous tho, but it's your opinion so yeah nps there. We spend quite some time to try and have the soldiers speak more human. They are quite cool to hear them when your fighting them.

We cannot all be as talented as some on here and I am still trying to better myself and have done so. But damn dude, you don't have to be this negative. It's seriously not that bad as you say it is.
I'm doing my best to make something worth while, which I know will not be good enough for some...
But I do know the mod will be fun to play, and I"m proud of what I been able to create, if you don't like it, then just don't play it.
Not including subtitles was a choice I made for myself.
Mapping looks fine to me, wasn't really paying attention to it though. I was too immersed in what looks like really fun gameplay! Which is the most important thing!
Indeed. My focus lies on both trying to get as good as I can in understanding the source engine. It being either my mapping skills, how to best trigger events, or creating a fun story with accommodating scenes that is merged with the best gameplay experience I can offer at this point. I try to do the best job I can.
And doing a damn fine job too man! Keep it up! :)

Camera motion/Head bobbing is damn awesome, it make the game feel more... "You are the main character", that first zombie is awesome.
We've tried ion a lot of ways to feel the player more emerged into the game. Game development is as hard as they say it is, and I hope to have been able to deliver on creating something people will remember for a long time.

Wow this looks action packed! It might be a small detail, but I've always wanted a mod that shakes the view camera when you reload, and yours looks perfect.
It's my firm believe that adding details will add to the overall experience. Even if someone is conscious of it or not.

I think you should add a crosshair though. I like to use ironsights too but sometimes it gets annoying. So, a crosshair would be nice. Other than that it looks great. 10/10. Can't wait for a release.

Not having a cross-hair was, from the start, something I felt very strong about. I know that not everyone will like this. But I believe that with the help of the iron-sights you'll be able to get by.
The general idea was to make the mod a lot more tougher then regular HL2 and at the same time, get a lil bit more of a realistic experience. There's also the fact that you do not have an HEV suit, so this add's to the feeling that you are just a plain civilian that's thrown into this huge mess.

This is all beautiful. When I first started tracking this mod a 1 year ago I was not to sure about it. After see thins and finally having the time to browse though the media all I can say is, you guys have made a lot of progress and I congratulate you for it. I also love the part in this where at like 1:32-1:36 the soldiers sound a little ArmA II like. Best of luck on the mod. I cannot wait to play the full thing.
Thank you very much for the kind words. The whole team went out of their ways to do their best. And we're all very excited with how the mod has progressed. two plus years ago I started on my own with hardly any knowledge of the source engine and mediocre mapping skills at best.
To see what the mod has become has even tramped my greatest expectations. It's soon time to see if the community feels the same way.
I have never play ArmA, so I couldn't say anything about that, but those soldiers have become a very awesome foe to battle with. :)

I can really see that you have really improved in so many ways.
When I first found this mod, it didn't really bring my hype up.
Now this mod is looking really impressive, but it's missing the small details that would make it shine.
IMO the cars are distracting, they all look brand new and shiny in the middle of a dark city with zombies and military forces attacking you.
You should add some damage to them especially to the white car that is sideways and to the red one that seems like it crashed.
I think it would also be cool if some cars would make an alarm sound when shot (like in L4D, without the zombie hordes) it would add some great moments when the enviroment you fight in reacts to your or the enemies actions.
Also the zooming in ironsight should be a bit faster.
Overall it looks great.
I love the explosion effects :)

As for details, your right. I'm always trying to add those lil buggers in there. In fact, and don't tell anyone, some cars in the mod have alarms that go off when you get near them.
As for iron sights etc, we might tweak them some more, but I haven't had any troubles with them actually. oh well. we'll see what we can do.
I'll do my best on the details tho.

Those soldiers are actually dutch, but I chosen to use English va's with no audible accents. They speak proper (american) English because finding dutch va's is pretty hard, and I chose not to include subtitles, so they needed to speak proper English for the player to understand them.
Those weren't mortars either, you just witnessed grenade throwing soldiers. The ability for them to be able to do that is quite challenging. Because they use real like 'nades without a glowing dots. So you have to be careful and either see them being thrown or hear them fall next to you or when you're lucky, hear the soldiers yell GRENADE.

im no gun pro but if you aim a machine gun like that your going to get your eyes smacked into the back of your head. But still very epic mod :)

I'm not a gunpro myself. And you probably have a point, but we're still limited in what we can do.usually, you'd have to close one eye, and aim with the other, and the body position that goes with it. It'd be pretty much impossible to create that effect, at least at this point, in a game with only one flat screen because you still have to be able to use the iron sight, and aim with that.
Nonetheless, it's a lot more fun (for me personally) to play like this, without the aid of a cross-hair.
