Hi there.
Well, tomorow 26/7/08 I'm planning a new internal beta release of the two maps.
The first one is still being bug tested, but as for the build itself I'm quite done.
Because The builds are so different from the last ones, I'd like some fresh new input from new
testers, who're unkown to the previous builds. And also to continue beta testeing if they want.
As for my second plea, it's one that doesn't have to answered to.
Right now I'm at a point where I want to make some decisions.
I've decided that instead of having a whole team, I will do the project myself,
right now it proves to me, that what I want in the mod, I have to do myself to get the results I want.
I do want to implement some ideas, and I could never do those alone by myself.
So instead of trying to get a team together and have to spend time managing that,
I'd rather have a thread like this to try and generate the right enthousiasm within anyone who would like to help me. this means I could use a modeler for some props, maybe a more proffesional texture artist.
And I deffinatly can use a voice over. dont have to be pro, just aslong as it tells the story and it fits the scene I need, as in a journalist or even a male voice for the main character / or a buddy npc. not sure on that.
What I'm looking for are individuals who'd like to help me out, where I can focus on the maps, and the few people I need to be in touch with to help me. Right now I have a small beta test team, and they're input already is showing result, I love my test team, some of them really have some neat ideas, which I'm putting in. I want to make sure that people have an input in the mod. Although I have a basic outline, and I know what I want in it, and how i want to tell the story.
I can still finish the mod on my own, just I feel I want to deliver something a bit more then just a small mod with some maps.
Note this mod's not ment to be a total conversion, or a big huge project.
Right now I just want to tell the story of a civilian trying to survive the events during the portal storms about how the combine used the xen species to clear a path before comming themselves.
PS: I'm open for allot of dialog between the people who are interested and myself.
I love how people always try to help me with ideas and what not.
I'm confident I can do this on my own if need be, but I want this mod to be in parts, for the single player comunity by the singleplayer comunity.
I'm currently running the mod under episode 2 / orange box
