Alright, I've been sick this week, and still am pretty much in pain. I haven't been able to work much on the project because of it. Still, I've been debating with myself to put up this screenshot.
Since I stated I would show only one screenshot of this map I've been hesatative to show more. But after some thouhgts I figured showing this image isn't showing too much. So as you can see I decided to put it up.
The forest area is probably the most non-dutch like enviroment i nthe mod. I did it this way so I can work around some issues like limitations etc, plus I like this type of forest myself.
It's still a WIP but I am pretty satisfied with the map so far.
So yeah, hope you guys like it too.
Note that the HL2 dirt, rock , grass textures have been replaced by custom ones.

How do you add trees to mapz? -__-
The same way you add other prop models to maps...
Skybox is nice (joure : use prop of tree from ep 2 !)
Why ? I love those trees (not very detailled but it's sexy ^^)

ahh yeah, I know about the shading on the trees. I'll probably have to play around with disabling shadows being cast on the trees.

Thanks, it's tedious to get the right values, but it adds somuch to the atmosphere.

thank you kindly. yeah I wish I could stay in that house. It's actually a forest restaurant. I figured this hasn't been used much in games, and it fits in the journey you undertake.

You guys going to put in a custom skybox? Then the picture is complete.
I'm not sure yet. most likely not, because the sky i'm using and others fit the maps pretty well. but who knows maybe i'll try and create one later on.
