Description
This is the 1187 DEMO. It contains the first map and the intro of the second. To install unzip the file and put the 1187DEMO folder inside your Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods folder. There are few small bugs nothing serious. I hope to get some public feedback from this release. Anyway, Enjoy (I hope)

Hey, I just played the demo i liked what i played of it, was great, but when i got to the part with the explosion and i went down through the hole the game just quit on me. A pop up said, "tell the programer to up the vertex buffer." i was wondering what to do or if you can do something. Great work though. :D
Thank you allot, I've had the same problem myself but it happened one or two times a while back and I havent had it since. I thought it was my pc, which isn't that new anymore.
Now that that I think of it, it might be a problem to do with the map itself. I'll go look into the error.
All I can say is try again, for me it was just a one time thing. If it still happens I'd like to know what PC you're running the game on.

Hey, Thanks I just tried it again and it workd exept for a bit of lagg but it was ok. Great Job i liked the zombie skins you put on them. Can't wait till the full release. :D

I have a few problems to report. First, it is hard to open the door in the main lobby. It gets stuck if you try to open it while standing in front of it. Also, I was able to get the poison zombie out of the room and I didn't kill it so when I grabbed the gun I was stuck inside. Besides that is was a good demo. I almost never play single player mods so your mod was like a combo breaker for me. XD
Thanks allot for the feedback, I've corrected the bugs and placed a NPC clip, also managed to get some more bugs out.
I'll keep on bug tracking and try to resolve them.

Is it me or all the weapons u use are hl2 guns
It's stated in the news update that I dropped all fps banana models except some that I got permission for, the main reason is that I've found a modeller willing to create a new set of weapons for the mod.
So this DEMO is created to not give players thewrong impression about the mod's development in the future.
Great start, only thing I can think that really needs fixing is the outside area. The radiosity (or whatever) projected from some of the buildings is WAYYYY too high, if you leave the apt complex and hang a left to that corner, the wall is white.
I just wish my pc could handle the extra features on orange box a little better, poor thing almost exploded lol. Keep up the great work :)
Well, I'm still tweaking, but it is supposed to take place during the summer. Since there's no refference that I know of when this all takes place, I thought it'd be nice to have this as a setting for once, before I go all dark on the rest of the mod, think of it as the last nice day you'll have before shit hits the fan.
It look like deat town. I wasn't able to find any weapon and also i havent been able to leave basic area

the area has been abandoned, people went to the bigger cities only a few stayed behind. The player is one of them.

Nice demo, but you have a lot unused space that the player can't reach in the first level and its not necessary at all to go outside of the main building. The headcrabs get themselves will get stuck near broken doors.
Now as for weapon placement, I suggest putting the crowbar in the first room and allowing the player to get the USP pistol before facing the poison zombie. Also allow the player to get either the revolver or shotgun in the first map. The pistol and crowbar don't do enough damage against poison and fast zombies, which makes killing either quite irritating, and then boring with just the crowbar.
thanks for the feedback, well, I decided the player could go outside because It's probably the only day time map in the mod for now atleast,
so it'd be nice to get outside, also since you get outside the second time I would like the player to have seen certain parts of the outside and also to just walk around. And I think i'll replace the gun with a shotgun now that you mention it. Though I don't wanna give all the weapons away at the start I think it's a better choice, thanks.
You can all ways strip the players of their weapons when a new map loads(like in Minerva:Metastasis), but then you have place them in a spot close to the start of the map.
hey how do i install it do i open it with winzip,flashgot,downall,or save? i have already tried saving it and moved it into source mods so now what?

how come now most of the mods and stuff that I get only open as a notepad file? I just downloaded the demo and the second i opened it it switched to a notepad file then not responded on me. is there a way to fix this?
This is the first time I've heard of this. I can't say right now whats going on i'll have a google and see what I can come up with.
Maybe you're game setting stuff is set to open with notepad? Go on open with next time, see what happens./ I may be wrong...
One of the best mods I've ever played, and thats just the demo! You should contact steam, this could be up there with zombie panic source and dystopia!!!!!!

Well, It's actually a DEMO made for christmass. There's an updated version of the first map, and the second map has been specially made for this demo. There's going to be a bonus map in there too, which is a DEV map gone out of hand ;). I chose to not include any other of the story based maps, they will be saved for when the Mod's done ^_^
