Henri - Texture Artist, Prop Modeler, Concept Artist.
RetroCow - Weapon Modeler.

Current Open Positions:

Character Artist...
You will need experience with modeling, texturing and animating character models for the source engine, we will require that these models are ready to place within the game. You will be given reference materials to work by and a certain sense of freedom with the concept/exact design of each character.

Progression Report:

Hello again, yet another progression report follows...

As you may well of noticed, theres new screens from the mod (all in-game) of the foliage Henri is quickly working through, i have to say he's doing a wonderful job and its really starting to come together!

Programming wise, Ryan has been hard at work on the team and class system, we sort of re-invented the wheel here but some nice features came along with it, you'll have to wait to see them though ;)

The website is well into development, the shell of it is complete, a few graphics and the news/blog/forum systems are yet to appear, we'll keep you posted.

Other than that, we picked up a new member (Baida - Environments) so more assets will be flying off the shelves! We're in collab with a character artist too, so something might appear there, yet to see the result of that venture.

Keep posting comments, subscribing, image comments the team like a LOT! :D

Regards,
TigerStudios.

Cant wait for this one :-).
How will the game play be? Realistic? or more like Quick Action (which means it takes like 5 secs to reload)?

This is the leader of the Jurassic Park game.

Just wanted to say that I'm very excited to see a Pirate game.
I think the market lacks good pirate games. I think the last Pirate game I played that I thought was worthy of being called great, or even classic.. was The Secret of Monkey Island.

I guess it is up to the creative and diverse community of modders to change things.

Thanks for the comments, it surely makes me want to work on the mod even more. I´ve followed that Jurassic Park project for some time now, it looks really fantastic.

Steve,

Unfortunately there's only so many types of "pirates" you can come up with while still trying to remain true to their history :). As for those that have been discussing weapons they are currently implemented at a code level to mimic their real-life counterparts as closely as possible and I've done a good amount of reading to date on the different types of weapons they had available at their disposal.

All in all, from a development point of view I'm making steady progress; however we are still in need of a weapons modeler and character modeler to really get things moving forward. In the meantime I'll keep hacking away at the SDK in hopes when they are available we can plug them in and get rolling :).

Thank you for the kind words, with some of the aspects we've come up with recently I have to admit I get more engaged every day working through this modification. I'm typically quiet on here and pretty much stick to working on coding and discussing things with the remainder of the team, but I'll do my best to drop by with updates whenever I have something to put forward :).

The weapon modelling sounds rather interesting. I have a little experience but not much, so I doubt I'll be able to finish what I'm working on right now before the slot is taken. But if I do, I'd be glad to fill the spot for ya.

And it's also good to know about the weapon thing.

I honestly don't think I've got enough time to finish what I'm currently doing, so you're probably better off going with someone else. Sorry.

Unless you don't mind a WIP? Heh.

On your part about weapons:

So long as the Blunderbuss is included, I'll be giddy with joy, lol.
