When Black Mesa begins teleportations to Xen, they sign a contract with the Prodigy Biotechnology Corporation, who are assigned to study Xen specimens that are bought back. The corporation's main interest is in the Vortigaunts, who are showing human-like intelligence. The vortigaunts had their collars and wrist bands removed, after wich they became friendly with the humans.
These Vortigaunts soon learned how to speak english, and warned the humans about the Combine threat, wich plans to enslave humanity. The corporation sends a research team to Xen, wich confirms the Combine presence.
After this, the corporation draws a plan, wich they hope to save humanity with from the Combine. This plan contains the creation of a massive clone army. The project gets set on one of their islands near Greenland, in a city called Raven City.
Harrison Mathers is appointed the leader of the project, with the programmer Boris Grishenko just below him. The project goes on for ten years, until the cloning process is over, and the replica army is ready to drift off. This is when the corporation loses contact with the island, and sends the HECU in to investigate.

Hello lads.
I've been making this version of Raven City for one and a half year now. Picture this as that I spent most of this time at the computer, working on the mod while sweating blood. At first it was really entertaining, but after a while I got carried away with the coding part of it. You see, I started getting lost in the small details, like the crappy shotgun code wich I have rewritten, bullets making impact particles on the sky, and many more extremely small details.
Mapwork has been stalled for a month now at the beggining of the third chapter, and I never could get further. I got the feeling as if it was some kind of job, not something done for my own entertainment actually. I started losing the goal, and I also got _really_ tired, nevertheless to mention that I couldn't concentrate on the real world. This is particularly bad for my upcoming exams, wich, being a home-schooled student is a really hard thing. I have to get back in the real world, and I can't let Raven City block me in that.
I will be suspending the project for a while. Don't be afraid, this mod won't die. If it were the case, it would've died long ago, as I would've stopped instead of scrapping the previous(cheap) mapwork, and beggining from scratch.
Thanks for watching everybody, and I hope none of you lose hope in this extraordirnary mod.
