Mentality is a story driven horror fps for release around November 08.
The main attraction to this game is the mental instability of the character you control; this means his perception of reality and his mind is often hazy, allowing interesting environments and characters.
The game is about an infection that has overrun your location. The inhabitants have become mindless beings; they are ridden with the virus that eliminates all social interaction skills, and they generally prey on any uninfected life forms. Whilst long term carriers of the disease are visually decrepid, the amount of time an individual is infected determines how much of their body is physically ruined.
You as the player fights the battle not only with the virus and it's victims but also with your mind. It constantly plays tricks on you, warping the scenery/atmosphere and voiding any comfort zone you thought you once had.
Brace yourself.

Nice concept. Could we expect the same effects that are in the video in-game?
Good maps, good props, poor scenario.
Yet another zombie mod, but it still sounds and looks great.
I'll be waiting for the release.
This game actually plans to focus a lot on the scenario/objectives/outcomes. Whilst we haven't released any major story information, we hope to provide a very surreal experience. This is partly achieved by the enemies of this game being fairly different from your 'garden variety' zombies.
Thanks for your interest.
So the player you play as, is actually infected?
The whole thing with the "inhabitants have become mindless beings; they are ridden with the virus that eliminates all social interaction skills" reminds me very much of the Forged from the Farseer trilogy by Robin Hobb - and that is a good thing. 'Cause you know, you get rather sick of the 'tried and true' zombies.
Yeah the infected won't be your generic stupid slow zombies, these ones will actually run at you etc. When we say mindless, we more or less mean mindless in the fact they can't communicate well with non infected. Due to this they are very primitive and territorial, yet share many physical abilities and properties us humans do.
Thanks greatly for your interest, much appreciated. :)
I liked the map, but I do not see the source of light.I mean near the cables on the walls. Please fix it because the map is really nice but this is irritating(the absence of source).Hope you will give more info soon.
Hey, thanks for the comment. This is a WIP of the level, there is no actual imported geometry. So it's all Hammer brushes, that's why there is no light fixtures. Hopefully it will have things in the level to populate it a bit some time soon. Glad to hear you liked it other wise :)
Ah Good stuff using the latest tech
yeah, the update was too good to pass up :P
that's.. interesting?
i'll be watching you.
