I got a letter this morning, I feared the worst and I got the worst, cancer of the lung, my punishment for all those years of non stop chain smoking. That was the problem with the NAM, they handed those things out like candy on a regular basis, probably would never have coped so well if it wasn't for smokes. I guess my best years are behind me. Regrets? Sure, there are many... but you can't change the past so what's the point in dwelling on it? Anyway, there's no rest for the wicked, I've got work to do, some kid ran away to a place called Pinewood Creek and hasn't been heard from since, now her father needs me to go there and find out what's happened to her. It seems the authorities aren't giving him any answers, claiming they've never even seen the girl, I guess I'm his last hope. Maybe if I find this girl, God will give me a chance for Redemption.. you know.. if there actually is a God. Well.. I guess I better get going, I want to be out on the highway before dark. Pinewood Creek here I come...'

Hi everyone,
I'd first like to give a huge thanks to all the watchers and supporters that have praised The Forgotten. I've had lots of comments like 'Wow that looks like STALKER/HL2/Silent Hill 2/The Best Half-Life MOD Ever etc. It really warms me to hear such comments, so cheers very much and a special thanks to Setis of the Half-Life 2 mod under the same name for being so cool about sharing his title's namesake! Sometimes I think to myself I'm wasting my name making this game, especially on such an 'old' engine but looking at other projects and speaking to people in the community I've found that there's a large fanbase for Goldsource and there's still plenty of life in the old dog yet.
Secondly, work on TF has been very slow as of late, due to starting a new full-time job and having little to no time at all to work on it. Things have settled down a bit now and I find myself able to work on bits and pieces in most of my spare time (not all.. I need to get out and about once in awhile and y'know.. live a life). Indeed, I'm hoping to get a new media release finished by the end of June whereby I can reveal more of the creature/character concepts and screenshots from late WIP stages and/or completed areas.
In the meantime, watch this space :)

is it me are the ppl who end up in Silent Hill almost always did it through some kind of car accident?
Harry crashes his jeep in Silent Hill, other than that James and Heather travel there willingly.
well travis thought he was gonna hit someone with his truck so locked the wheels braking it, and that women's car from the movie wouldn't start up...
Travis's truck isn't broken, he just decides to find out what happened to the girl, he could have left at anytime which is one of the silly things about it (not played it but I've watched a youtube walkthrough). The film doesn't count because it's following the storyline of the original with Rose replacing the role of Harry.
Hey, very nice work so far. Looks very similar to silent Hill 2... partly ;)
Keep up the good work. If you want really good sounds, check Silent Hill,Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and maybe Onimusha. Sounds strange but it's worth a try.
Hey! I'm trying to move away from the Silent Hill look a bit, looking towards Alan Wake for inspiration lately, going to make the town look a lot more westernised.
As for the sound effects, that's being taken care of already ;)
There's around 700 props for TF at present, not all of them re-edited yet of course, but just to give you an impression of how much content is modelled :) Voice actors will come into play when the dialogue is written and complete obviously!
Wow. People are giving this guy the models they have created selfe, making the mod more awesome and perhaps quicker to finish. The only thing he needs now is an very great voice-acter to all the freaky/scary/awful things in the finished game.
