however, as a first anf fast change I made all fanatics immune to mind control ^_^
I will have some serious thoughts about that (especially the air transport), but I won't include it for the first release.
You might be true but they are not defenseless.
Instead of a buzzer hive they got a drone hive which repairs nearby vehicles and blue shards give Reaper-17 the best AA of all factions.
On top of that I gave them an additional AA aircraft (upgradeable with blue shards as well). Also, Reaper-17 got some more teleports (like shock-Pods) for emergencies.
In the future I also might include a structure which converts all killed units into credits (but you can only build it one time). So you still think twice before you roll into a Reaper-17 base.
Those "Echo Troopers" are unlocked with an upgrade and those drones can be given to all non-production structures (excluding defense).
This works similar to Sonic Fields, it's the repair icon on the left side bar.
Yeah, I have a theme and certain guidelines for evey faction but since I'm only one person I'm rather limited anyway.
I will probably attach those faction themes with the first beta release.
It started as an simple improvement mod and I guess we will see how things will turn out.
Oh and don't worry about critique, I'm a bit of a stubborn :P

I wanted to cover all that in the first news but no, I am not a model artist and unfortunately can't do any models at all. However, some units get / already got a reskin to make them more distinguishable.

I fear that Black Hand could become too strong if they had access to aircraft, but who knows.
Note that I generally appreceate ideas but as for the first beta release I'll just stick to what I've planned so far.

yeah, wasn't used to it but I think if you get the hang if it, it's a cool thing.
All I feared is that cages make DE more vulnerable, especially since they don't have base defenses but I think it's a cool thing to play with.
And the reduced costs of other resources make up the required souls quite nicely ^^
I'm a relatively new dow player but from all mods I've played so far DoWPro has the most reasonable changes and delivers many new interesting possibilities. I like mods which improve the game rather than trying to make something completely new.
But as a passionate Dark Eldar player I have to admit that I think you should do some changes with this faction. While I love the changes done to stats I don't think that every unit should cost souls. If you are short on supply and your enemy killed your supply routes you are pretty fu**ed :/. Why don't make DE having at least one unit per tier which doesn't requires souls just to have something against the enemy if this is the case?
Warriors for example could cost no souls but to give them a twist they become only as effective if you equip them with an Elite Warrior (forgot the upgrade name) which requires souls in exchange. Or something like that ^^
Anyway, keep up the good work and I hope to see more from your mod :)

How often do you map btw? Actually, I started mapping/playing around with Doombuilder 64 for the Doom 64 PC port but hardly get time to map... started roughly 1,5 years and that only ocationally. Do you map on a daily/regulary basis? I know some people from the doom 2 community who map all day long to achieve such style Oo.
I have a big plan for a mod/game which I want to achieve but before starting this I need a better basis ^^
