It is a mod for Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and thus they decided to call it Bushido: Medieval Warfare.
They could also have gone for Chivalry: Feudal Warfare or as you (and I) would probably prefer Bushido: Feudal Warfare.
The thing is though, that they somehow might need (or want) to keep a tie with the game on which it is based in order to remind people that it is a mod.
Maybe one of the devs would like to share his/her opinion?
I really hope you'll get the required funds on Kickstarter, because I'd love to pledge, but unfortunately I have to wait until PayPal access is available.
I don't know if you're planning on selling this, but a "better in every way" version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. set in America might not be the best idea, because most of the atmosphere and feel comes from the Ukrainian area that it is set in.
I also want to mention that the story and world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are not in any way connected to those of Metro 2033.
There is however a reference to the book Roadside Picnic that was the base for the 1979 movie Stalker and both the book and the movie were used as a base for the game.
In any way, you're free to disregard anything I've just mentioned. I just hope you've put some good thought into this and that you're sure you can add something new to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe, instead of making an American rehash of the game.
I recommend watching the movie and reading the book, they are in another league compared to modern-day books and movies.

It would be nice if the turret had to turn to the players new location after he used Time Stop, before shooting again.
Looks very authentic, great job!
I agree, it looks a bit too big right now.
But excellent model and texture!
Looks good, wonder what it is about!
I was waiting for this to happen, good luck to you guys!
Since the release of Chivalry I've always wanted to be able to play in feudal Japan.
Thanks, that works!
None of the mirrors seem to work, they all redirect me to a blank page.

Can't access the file on gamefront...
Good luck guys, I've been hoping for a revival for ages now!
Awesome!
It's not yet released. :)
Yeah, looks much better, although I still think the seam running over the shoulder could've been better hidden in one of the creases of the jacket.
Thank you!
We try hard to keep our development standards as high as possible.
Thanks! We just love detail.
Thanks, we really appreciate comments like this!

Great!
Nice!
No, the barrel doesn't sit on top.
The recoil-reduction/automatic-fire system sits on top, as with every AK.
I'd suggest adding some shape to the bottom of the upper lip, it's as straight as an ATM slot right now.
And I'd say her head looks quite wide, but that's probably due to the style of the hair.
Good job anyway!
It's a nice rifle; I really like Millenia's work.
I don't see any differences to the original by Millenia though, so what's the retexture?

On my system the performance got a nice boost the last few months.
(i7-950 @ 3.84 GHz, 12GB RAM and a single GTX560 Ti)
I'm now running close to 60 FPS on average.
Why would you demand 90 FPS, when you can settle with 60?
Also, drop the SLI excuse, it's not working.
Looks incredible. Good job!
Thanks for the praise!
Thanks for the comment!
In reply to your question: we use the Unreal Development Kit, an up-to-date version of Unreal Engine 3.
You might want to check that link to your video.

Do I need to take this seriously?
