I keep forgetting to ask, but is it possible to replace the "Force Commander" in the SM Campaign with a "Brother-Captain" instead? Since we already have "Force Commander Boreale", the 2nd ForceComm seems redundant (Players lose access to terminator ForceComm though)

If it's a button that has a hotkey tied to it, one of the letters in the tooltip name will be a different color... This letter is the hotkey for that button

If you build enough choppers, there comes a point wherein the only AA that matters is Thrax's Wasps. That being said, the best strategy I've found to take care of Kwai is to have the entire map detected using scouts (in Townes' case sentry drones) and have Laser Thor kill squads (15 minimum in tight formation) flying somewhere ready to rush out and kill targets (prioritizing AA of course)... The earlier the better, the more choppers the better. Also it's advisable to have a loose line of Laser turrets along the entire length of the riverbed, 3 layers deep. Kwai's AI forces it to engage all sources of damage to its tanks, ideally you'd want to have whatever tank Kwai is sending to first mulch through your entire defense line before running to your base. That's gonna be expensive, you won't have enough time to gather resources / build that line. That's what the chopper kill squad is for, to buy time. Also, you can have 1 Ranger occupy / capture each of the civilian buildings in the map, again buying time for you to build those 15 Thors and that 3 layer deep defense line. How many supply drop zones do you need? 8. How many Supply Centers? 3. 1 in you HQ, one in the upper left corner, another in the village, how many dozers? 6. 2 building supply drop zones, 1 building reactors, 3 working on the Defense line. 1 Barracks, 1 War Factory (spamming scout drones), 2 Airfields (spamming Laser Thors). Should you bother with any unit you unlock at tier 3? No, not even the Mobile Particle Cannon thing... maybe Aurora Bombers. What do you do when he unleashes all those Guan Yus? Pray that you have enough choppers, press X to have them split up, wait for the Guan Yus to hit your defense line, bomb them with Auroras as much as you can, hit them from behind with Choppers (the Guan Yu takes a second to "turn around"). Guan Yu's fire rate at max because it's been shooting too long? Fall back, wait for it to spool down, then hit it again. Hell, if you're desperate, order (not build) a bunch of laser turrets in such a way as to lead the Guan Yu away from your base to buy time. Earthshakers are slow and don't attack air (though you say it affects them I've never seen them force attack ground in order to hit aircraft). Sniper TC's are glass cannons that can't attack air (though I remember hitting a chopper with it once just when it was spawning out from an airfield). Gauss cannons and Manticores (was that their name? I don't quite remember) are effectively the same, one's just bigger, spam choppers at them... X is your best friend. The biggest threat you have is the Guan Yu, and it's weak to Aurora bombs

Use Choppers, most MBTs cant shoot upward... Better yet, combined arms Tanks & Choppers with your tanks going after Gauss tanks, and your choppers going after his tanks...

Try using the 0.5 version of the Tyranid mod (yes, not the latest version)... To be sure, uninstall whatever version of the Tyranid mod you have installed now. Then go to the Mod Manager and select the UA mod (it should say that the Tyranid mod is missing). Then click the "FIND MISSIN" button and get the version that's over there... ... ... BTW this is Mod Manager v2.1.5

I've found that boosting Max Fleet size to 300% causes consistent CTD around the time you reach Rank 12... Gonna chalk it up to an engine limitation. That being said, you can boost Max Leadership as far as your PC (or your management skills) can take it... I personally run 200% Fleet Size and 400% Leadership

I checked my own Dow Mod Manager and had the same error show up... To confirm, I am using the v2.1.5 DoWMM which is included in the UA 1.89 rar file. If you try to launch a mod that has a missing component to it (in this case the obj pts ss thingy) then there should be a red, kinda embossed "X" symbol near the upper right corner of the window... Below that X is a button that says "Find MISSIN" (sic), click that and it shows you a list of the missing components... Click download mod (or something) and it will open a window to the specific download page for the component that's missing... Finish the download, extract and install as instructed, then check back again with the DowMM... Error should be gone by then

The "!!!DOWNLOAD NOW!!!" button leads to a mediafire.com site that has the download link for the actual file (should be a .rar file about 3Gb in size). Now you can trust me, and everyone else who downloaded the file that it's not a virus or... You can copy the link address and send it to "virustotal.com" to have it checked against their databases... As for the appearance of the moddb page, it changed sometime last year to mark the "imminent" launch of v1.89

That being said... There was a comment by Skalgrim (the dev) back in the timeline; it said to hold off on campaigns until after 1.8 gets released, as the new version would likely be incompatible with existing campaigns. It also said that 1.8 will be releasing "soon", with an estimate to it being around late January

Hitting the "Pause/Break" button on your keyboard also stops time, allowing you to give orders, cast abilities, look around, etc

Try Sacrificial Circle or Daemon Pit... Should show up as a Hero unit (at least for Tzeentch, I haven't checked Nurgle). If it works for one it should work for all except Bloodthirster which I think is summoned via unit conversion?

Doesn't the Tau have a mechanic wherein if the Ethereal is alive, all infantry have boosted morale (or was it immunity I don't quite remember). Pair that up with shield-tech and they have good staying power mid-game, barring anti-infantry units of course

If you mean the standard nameless USA, China, and GLA options in the skirmish menu... Then yeah, they're gone from that menu... But they are still technically in-game in the form of the faction Boss Generals which can be fought in Challenge Mode... On certain skirmish maps there are also unmanned Dozers for each of the nameless (now Boss) factions (yes, including GLA... Devs made GLA Boss' Workers into Dozers)

Be advised, SS campaign not really made for UA though... Many stronghold maps, for example, don't have critical positions effectively disabling tier V. Not to mention the Dark Eldar stronghold being... just child's play... Non-stronghold maps play normally though
