The past few day's, my company and I have been out training up at Fort Knox, nice place, but anyway, My platoon was tasked with holding a little supply depot from OpFor, and one night, we were attacked, heavily. No one was really killed, it was a simulation and all. Well, they attacked with tanks to capture all the supplies, and our little platoon was ill, no, un-equipped at all, to handle this threat. Out of the whole supply depot, there wasn't one rocket, missile, land mine, NOTHING!

Being one of the few who had actually seen combat, me and a buddy of mine managed to escape out of the whol hell hole, and as we were limping our way back to our base. (My buddy sprained his knee on a river bank, poor bastard) once we arrived at the base the next day, we were stopped by our company commander, and this is what transpired between us:

Captain: "You 4th platoon?"

Me: "Yes sir! we barley made it out alive."

Captain: "Well, I haven't heard from you all night, I want your platoon up to hold the left flank"

Me: "Sir, we are 4th platoon."
