Here for the mods. Figured that Sins of a Solar Empire is great and all but some mods would be cool. Started with me getting Stargate Invasion, which was okay but missing alot of the things that would of made it complete. Then I moved on to Maelstorm which really got me into the mods, it had everything, unit cards, voices, ships, planets, HALO RINGS, you name it, it pretty much had it, the ship detail is beast and if you somehow find it in you to troll the mod then you either have no brain, or you are just jelous you couldnt make something so awesome.

I recently managed to remember my password (yay) and downloaded the new version of the Maelstrom mod that has the expansion. This expansion once again is amazing because it brings in the creators version of TITAN class warships. I absolutely adore the mod because not only do the ships look awesome but because they play very well with the games story line. The ships contain the features that you would expecct to come from the individual races. The TEC sport a massive novalith cannon inside their TITAN that actually is used for a disentergration beam while sporting a number of convention cannons on it. The Advent brings back the old dreadnaught design before it got replaced with a newer one and the ship just cuts through enemy defences as though they were paper mache. The vasari sport the oddly insect like warship that is about the shape of a Evacuator capital ship just alot larger and more "spikey" giving it the feeling that it is all the more lethal. The three added races, Norlamin,Replicators (cators), and Trade Alliance all sport their own unique Titans as well. While I have a bit of an issue with the design of the Replicator Titan not seeming like it would be a normal looking replicator ship it still packs the same Replicator care package with a number of weapons and support abilities. Each of the races in a match recieve a Titan fairly soon if you set the games speed to faster and you can pretty easily capture a heavily fortified planet with a Titan alone (maybe a few carriers to provide fighter support against possible bomber waves but thats about it). All in all I give the update a 9.7 out of 10. The reason I didn't give it a perfect score is because I find rather dull that almost every ship shares a similar "flat feature". I would really enjoy seeing some height variations similar to that of the TEC Capital ships where they possess more height than width just to make them a bit different and so they dont take up so much freaking space when you try to form a fleet around them.
