Rachni - bug-like stuff.
Prothean - blocky, necron-like stuff from wh40k, just with less skulls and death-theme.

That charging animation is too fast, imo.
By watching how your enemies tremble in fear while this thing is charging would be more enternaining.

Just checked that comic, apparently comic artist viewed hangar shields colored in red. So... this is actualy... a hangar (or multiple of them, go figure).

What is this red thing?
