It's kind of strange. AFAIR, I had my friends test XDM on various HL versions including 1110, 1111, 1121 (myself).
By the look of your "error message" it appears you have windows 6x OS (Vista+). Not much info there. But anyway, XDM should never crash without "transparency DLLs" @HL1110. Just looks bad.
There are two things I may suggest:
a) try different renderer (Direct3D))
b) get the MS VisualStudio 2010 and build XDM from source in debug mode. It will help detecting the cause of the error.
That's all I can think of right now.
As always, if you need it, 3dmax it ;)
BTW, I heard there are some player model packs out there that indeed had hitler and some sniper models. o_O
Going to take a pause for ~3 weeks.
Health needs immediate attention.
As for now, XDM3038 already has many nice features:
- music in linux
- saved inventory in CoOp
- about 150 lines in changelog I already forgot :)
- there's a possibility that next release will include new original CoOp campaign! And new weapons.
then, you're doin' it wrong.
shortcut/bat file should do the thing. Or "change game" in the menu.
Dear Zoonyarts, how bout mentioning your resource sources in readme? Actually, I've seen some of mine there.
Sort of a bug report: http://imgur.com/cZfjjYn (BHL test map, hung dead)
Well, it's based on HL and has some gameplay familiar to UT gamers. Making new weapons is not exactly the first priority right now, so I can't promise.
It's for Half-Life 1, not for HL2 (which is "Source"-based). But it probably shall be.
There was one man working on the port, but I haven't heard of him since last year... (his name is Jackathan btw)
Wow, finally someone asked!
Staplerfahrer Klaus (nice german movie)
Probably. Someone made it HLDM. And it works for me too.

Nice work, main theme instrument would be a little better if kept original. IMHO.
what a sensitive detector you have! (o_O)
(actually I think those things indicate fans :D )
Sometimes I envy steam users... (rarely :D )
Too lazy to read documentation, but so eager to write some butthurt comments, eh?
and you're a happy man.
Sorry, the official site is down (software problems).
If you really like the WON version, here you go: Rghost.net
Stupid as ****.
Some more micronews:
site is down, I hope temporarily. PHP is horrible, really really horrible. And I didn't write it.
Next release: Stupid Quake Bug (tm) fixed, lost of CoOp improvements included.
Also, this time all combos, bots and some announcements will be disabled by default. I'm tired of all those whiny kids who spread tons of complains just because they are incapable of reading and switching optional features. I think it'll be better to rather have some things disabled by default.
There's also planned a platform-only release and full SDK.
Thanks for your attention.
Oh, how I HATE this place!! :D
Hi, we've been playing HC2 in Co-Operative mode under XHL/XDM and had tons of fun :)
But I have to admit HC2 has some veeeeeeery annoying levels! :D
If I understand you correctly, XHL/XDM never worked with original HL server/client because HL1 DLLs (in /valve/) have absolutely different and incompatible code (for example, no weapons). So, you cannot, for example, launch XHL/XDM and connect to ordinary HLDM server.
Unfortunately, there's no documentation on how to compile XHL in/for Linux, but I'm trying really hard to write code to be platform-independent, so the process should not differ much
from that of HL. Anyway, I think I found someone who can help me with that and next release is not far away now. ;)
Party hard :)
we accidentally the whole Black Mesa (o_O)\
That CoOp party was awesome!
When played with many people, HC2 guaranties lots ot FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUn :)
Не надо Lua. Надо AngelScript.
Epilepsy warning required :)
Plays even better )
