I live in Nijmegen, developing games is my hobby. Responses are very much appreciated, but I tend to forget to look on this page. To make sure I see your message, use the personal messaging system, or olvandgame [at] gmail.com
I know ;). I get like 3-5 requests for invites per day now... where are all these people coming from :P.
Thanks! I'll you to my list of playtesters, so you'll be in the future tester groups.
Hi, thanks for trying Olvand. At the moment, all servers are down, see problem 3 on the support forums: Indiedb.com . If you have more questions, please ask them there; I want to reserve this place for more general questions about the game! Thanks!
Sorry, there isn't one. I only have a 'leave your e-mail address below if you want to be in one of the next groups' text field ;).
Hi FahriAuditore, the reason you haven't been invited is that the waiting list is quite long at the moment. I've been inviting groups more often lately, and I plan to make the groups larger as well, so it hopefully won't take THAT long anymore. Thanks for your interest!
Of course! I'll add you to my list, so you'll be in on of the next tester groups :).
Hi! Don't worry, I didn't forget you, and there are no problems; it's just that the waiting list is quite long. The next tester group are people who signed up (roughly) at the end of october / start of november. But I have a lot of good news: (1) I'm inviting new groups more often lately, (2) I plan to invite larger groups and (3) I looked you up, and you're in the next group :).
Thanks! I added you to my list, so you'll be in one of the next tester groups I invite.
About combining Olbs: yeah, that's my favorite part of the game too :P. Here's some extra info about it, in case you missed it: Indiedb.com
Thanks :). The Pokemon art style indeed was a big inspiration!
You're welcome (although it's actually a pre-alpha invite :P).
Thanks! Mining works similar to Terraria, with the only difference that it is topdown, and that it is done by shooting at the rocks until they break. This can be done with all olbs, except for the ones that give light (for example, the fires, as seen in the video).
I'm sorry :/ More invites will come soon!
Like Twillypop said (thanks ;) ): see olvand.com! And thanks for your interest!
Hi Karmokarm, sorry, I didn't see your message here. No problem of course, play whenever you want!
Of course; you can sign up at olvand.com, but you can of course also tell me you're interested here :).
Hi! Thanks for playing! I'll send you a personal message about it; I want to reserve this space for more general questions about the game :).
You deserve it. Thanks for all the help ;).
Thank you, Adrien! Indeed, I let in testers in small groups, to keep everything under control (as it's an online game). There will be a new group soon!
Finished? Not even the most basic features are in ;). Since this is a one man hobby project, it's going to be months, if not years, before this will go into beta. But that of course doesn't mean the game isn't playable or enjoyable before that time - at least, that's what I hope ;).
Then I shouldn't take long :)
Have some patience :). You submitted your email address, right?
Good to hear :)! There will be an in-game tutorial in the future, but for now, there is a manual when you log in at olvand.com.
Also, for future questions, please use the forums, firstname.lastname@example.org, or a personal message here on Desura/IndieDB. I like to reserve this place for more general questions / comments about the game. Thanks :)!
Sure, but let's do it on the forums, where other problems are solved. Can you post more details about your problem in the support section? Thanks!
Good question! It is possible, and I see some people do it, but most of the things are designed to be multiplayer. That's also the reason why I implemented some tools to help find other players this early in development.
Hi, I'm sorry, you can't. I'm inviting people in small groups, to keep everything under control (as it's an online game). Let me know if you want to be in one of the next test groups!
My most accurate guess at the moment is the weekend of the next one. I'll blog about it this Friday :).
@Mapleguy555: Sorry, I think I've been unclear :(. I added you to the waiting list, not to the actual playtesters. To keep some control over what's happening (since it's an online game), I invite people in small groups, and you'll be in once of those groups. But since the waiting list is quite long, it might take some time. Sorry!
Well, you can read that in the blog posts I think ;). And I'm going to invite more groups of playtesters once the next update is out. The update is nearing completion, so it won't be long!
Of course! Sorry, I missed your message completely :/.
Repetition is something I really try to avoid; once you're in, let me know if you think I succeeded ;).
