I'd never heard of Fantasy Online, but you're right! I see the similarities too. There are a lot of differences as well, though.

I did some research here, and it turned out you were right: for recent members, some achievements were not configured correctly in the database. The game assumed this meant you completed them (so new players started with 5-6 achievements already completed), the website assumed you didn't. It's fixed now, so you can try and get these achievements too!

Fishing: bind a rope to a branch, go stand near water and hit e. Make sure the line tension is not too high or too low by clicking. If you have more problems, please ask on the forums and people will help you out :).

Sorry, I missed this comment completely! The answer: I don't know either. There are quite a lot of people in the waiting line at the moment, and I invite groups of 100 people every time a new update is released. New updates are only released when they're done (so no set-in-stone release dates). The next update will arrive somewhere next week, I expect.

Thanks a lot! And about the donate button (and I can't believe I'm going to say this), I feel a little uncomfortable receiving money while I'm not even sure if I've got a playable game. Once the bugs are fixed, the game turns out to be fun and enough people want to play, I might switch to the Minecraft model. Could you save your wads of money until then? :P

Google tells me that ETA can mean hundreds of things, but I guess you mean 'Estimated Time of Arrival'. My estimate (which is almost meaningless, because they are rarely true, in both the positive and negative way) is that it will take me 4-6 weeks to finish the first version of Glux, and implement it in the game.

Excellent question. The answer is because the chance of more people playing online at the same server at exactly the same time is relatively small if a game doesn't have hundreds of players. Even very popular indie games have this problem. The solution is to simply wait for others to join (people often join when they see somebody is already playing) or to invite your friends (there is an invite feature on the website).

Olvand is in pre-alpha at the moment; the only way to play this now is by requesting an invite at olvand.com, but I should warn you that the waiting list is quite long. The game will go on sale once people start coming back to the game (instead of only playing one of twice).

Depends a bit on what you mean by 'released', but you probably mean: when will I stop inviting people, and open to game to everybody. I will do that once I succeed in making people play more than just an hour or two. That is, when I have something 'addictive'.

Both jukeboxes (that's what you mean, right?) and darts are wonderful ideas, although if I include something like darts, I'll probably make it a little different from the real game - I want all the minigames to be unique.

For the spawn places - I have some special ideas for that, but more about that later :).

I think you might be right that giving the portal a bigger territory keeps the problem away longer, so I'm going to follow your advice if giving portals their own territory is really needed.

About the limited distance: enormous cities is not something I necessarily want to avoid, as long as I can make cities look varied. I am actually afraid the other thing will happen: 300 cities on every server with only 2-3 houses. But we'll see :)

Not sure, actually, I haven't had any complaints ;). I think when 2-digit players tried to reset their accounts, the server got confused and did nothing. Anyway, like MartanZ said, it's fixed now.

Not yet - but it's definitely something I want to add in the future. I'd love to see people riding animals they've discoverd in the wild and tamed themselves. It's quite a big feature though, so it will take a while ;).

Thanks for this great suggestion! I'll have to think about this a little more, but at the moment I'm leaning toward doing it like you said; you're probably right in that it leaves the exploration aspect intact. A counter-argument would be that not giving the conditions would frustrate completionists, but those people would probably use wikis anyway.

Yeah, definitely. Rewatching the video doesn't recreate that thrilled feeling I had during the match at all. But I'm currently composing some battle music, so things will change!

And it indeed looks very daunting (in particular the pro gun I showed), but everybody who tried it understood it in less than 60 seconds or so. So that won't be a problem, I hope :).
