Nothing really much about me.
I am the voice of Dave in the mod Desolated for Doom 3.
If you want to get to know me, feel free to add my messengers =)
I'll probably add more to my profile later.
At first I was going to vote for Brutal Doom for MOTY.
But then I thought back to a few other mods I've played this year. This one has had the lengthiest development time and a HUGE amount of effort was put into making this see the light of day. So, my vote goes to Black Mesa. I'm also very much looking forward into playing Part 2.
Unfortunately the mod doesnt load for me. I tried opening it using the -ui command on a shortcut, and I even used the original shortcut that came with the install. I have the Steam version of the game and I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit. Every time I load the mod using the -ui command, it will show the game loading, but then the ui comes back up. >>_>>
-Edit: Nevermind, I got it working...after clicking on play several times during the looping ui. A bit odd. Must be just me.
Looks like a lot of work still needs to be done, but I can definitely appreciate the amount of progress you've made so far. I'm impressed highly, especially with the shadows being casted by Caleb, definitely wasnt expecting that one. Maybe someday we'll also see 3D models for this too. This game is still kicking *** 14 years later. :D
I typically dont do weapon mods but this definitely looks very well done enough to try.
A mod of a mod. Oh damn!
Ironically I just installed this game a moment ago. Never played it before but found my disc! This patch sounds a bit nifty. o:
Now if only third person didnt lag like a bitch on my computer.
Will there be any possible unlockables after beating the game?
Like being able to play through as a block of Tofu? xD
Well, I just hope my computer can run Crysis 2 then. xD
Hm...I wonder if the English version will be in a patch or in another full seperate download. Just out of curiosity so maybe I could download the full thing now and the english patch later, or would I possibly just have to wait for a different full release?
How exactly do I add the ip's of the servers so then I'm not stuck with the original four servers the game comes with.
I refreshed and seen only one person in a server. I was hoping to get in one where there's many people.
This is good. This makes me actually want to install Daggerfall and play it. Now if only Arena could look this attractive. xP
This is definitely looking good already/ I havent played the original Arx but now I'm curious to look for it. Keep up the good work guys, definitely tracking this.
Hm...I may get this game just to play this mod.
I'll wait until the full release of course. A demo just makes me too anxious. :D
*Twitch* The timing with the wolverine claws was perfect.
I see good things coming out of this mod. Maybe even other mods based off of this mod xP
Either way, definitely keep up the good work on it. I'm amazed.
Hrm...A bit too fast pace. Still has that Unreal Tournament feel to it. But I wont complain about that, I know it's still in heavy development. I guess this is just my opinion right after playing some Sarges Heros for the N64 the other day. xD
I'll still give it a shot and download it, on release day, no doubt about that. Keep up the good work guys :)
Hm...Needs something a bit darker themed. Looks a bit too robotic in my opinion, but I think the health at the top left looks fine! :)
Possible release estimate? :3
Just out of curiousity anyways. Been following this for ages now xD
So many good ideas that were lost when EA took over.
There's an english version, I've already had it before it was released on here.
I do like the idea of Resident Evil being a first person shooter, but I do think you should update this a bit. First, a save system would be nice, if you know how to put one in for this. (If there is a save mode, I'd like to know xD) Secondly, I know this is a very dark themed game, but just the overall visuals are too dark. I turned up the brightness on my screen and I still had a hard time seeing what was infront of me, I dunno if it's just me that thinks that but maybe making the maps just a bit more brighter so then it would be a bit easier on the eyes would be nice. One complaint about the licker, in the Resident Evil games, his footsteps were distinct and you could really hear them. While I was playing, I noticed I could barely even hear the licker walking and he snuck up on me, killing me twice. I know there's difficulty involved but it's a little hard to fight something if there's no footstep sounds with the combination with everything being too dark.
But, criticism aside, I did enjoy playing it. I'd play it more if I could save where I left off, and if I could actually see where I was actually going when walking down dark alleys. That could just be my monitor, but if it isnt, just thought that would be something you should tweak. :)
It's freeware now???
I like this idea... Keep up the good work! :D
I have no interest in using this but I do like the design that's made for it.
Edit: Nevermind, someone pointed it out xP
OH HAHA you got me this time ModDB
I like to do both. If it's cheaper in a store, I'll get it there. If it's a weekend deal and cheaper on steam, I'll choose that instead. Steam does keep their sales going doing the weekend discounts, which I like a lot.
Raaaaah got an error. "Type library System\Unreal.tlb couldn't be registered. Please reinstall Unreal."
Any ideas how to fix this?
Edit: Nevermind fixed it. For anyone that gets this error, right click on it and click on "Run as Administrator" then it should run.
I've only seen videos on this...and I've always been very curious about it. Great find! Same with the Diablo Alpha that I've noticed you uploaded. I'll be stashing this on my external harddrive :P
