Seriously do a bit more research before attacking the devs. It's a pretty well known fact that the game is still a sort of alpha/beta stage and if you even bothered to look on the official forum you'd know that they are clearly not gone and they actually have plans to release an update in January.
Got to agree slightly with you, I'm a fan of Indie Stone and love project zomboid and I understand what they are trying to do but really, they should have considered smaller more frequent updates.
I was just wondering if the ultimate plan was to have players start on a planet and then make there way of it by building there ship or if it is always intended to be on an asteroid.

Gutted NS2 didn't make it in the action genre but Mark of the Ninja is without question an awesome game
