I'm a strategy games fan. If i'm here, it's to find new units or gameplay to play a better and better game everyday. I'm following Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 mods, mainly Paradox. I love aircraft, and jazz.

We don't really "know". The Big Bang is a popular theory because it explains both expansion and the background radiation. But we don't know much about the beginning of the universe because it dates back to a time when our galaxy didn't even exist and it's something we can't even imagine the scale of.

For what we know, we can't see over 14B light-years away, which means either something happened 14B years ago or there is something there.

Lovecraft, anyone ?

Regilion in America is something complex. It has maintained because a lot of the country has remained isolated, and there, religion is everything. In Rabbitkidney, Oklahoma, everyone meet at the church, and everyone is christian. The teachers in the local school come from this background, and don't know a thing about biology, instead, they promote their religion. MegaChurches, televangelists, poltician ; they maintain this state of social pressure on the individual, and that gives them money and power. After that, you end up with men like Rick Santorum.

That became possible because the religious right is a big chunk of the electorate. They're convinced, motivated, unlike their opponents. Their religion has given them, at the price of truth and reason : contacts, event to participate in, people to vote for, and a reason to live. Even know they're baptist, roman catholic, etc... that killed each other for centuries, they've rallied around issues like abortion to federalize under the word "christian". They've merged with the conservatives, and made a political chimera, a nationalist-theocratic ideology, based on the idea of a God driven land, that is never wrong. So they rewrite history, like in Texas.

The situation becomes incredibly complex when interest converge, and then you end up with a huge mess. Especially when you've a strictly two-partied system. Money from lobbies and super PAC fuel their expansion. they're given a legitimacy by moderates who can't quit the party, because ; where to go ?

Because they've such grip, they can then maintain the situation by passing legislation that prevent students from learning about evolution, for example. At the end, they want a theocracy, not better than Iran. With the same restriction ; abstinence only sex education (don't have sex). Gays don't exist, they chose to be gay, and other nonsense.

At least, end the tax benefits of the largest companies. General Electric paid no taxes, and got 3.2 billion benefits (-60% tax rates). But they still deported a fifth of their jobs overseas in the last 10 years.

And I don't wanna get back to tax 101, but countries don't want to tax themselves into prosperity, they try to prevent the social tissue and the infrastructure from falling apart while they economically grow. It's needed but it does generate benefits directly.

+3 votes   media: Some more UDK
Westonbirt Jul 3 2012, 4:59pm says:

This crate is a perfectly ordinary one. You might consider using it as cover, as it is linear, and strangely resilient to bullets, bombs, fire and pandas. You can hide behind, thanks to its camouflaging effect due to its exceptional opacity. But crates have also participated in numerous scientific breakthrough, such as the Schrödinger Cat experiment, which both explained the complex idea of quantum particle determination and triggered waves of opposition form PETA. Note that these crates are so strong because they seem to be made, not of wood, but of "polygons".

Westonbirt Jul 2 2012, 5:23am says:

Will you be... a crate designer?

"These crates are made out of wood and nails. But far more wood than nail. That put them in the wooden kind of object. They're easily flammable, so you should not put explosives in it. You can put ice, but it's not sure either, because melting ice produces water, and water can destroy wood. Its cubic shape is useful to stack it up, making complex forms using small cube, or, as its called, minecraft. Apart if you're stupid or have two finger at each hand, you should be able to open it, just remember there is a up and a down. You don't really care if it carries rices. You care more if it carries HE shells. This picture is not indicative of final colour, because we might use another kind of wood, like oak, pine or moose. There might also be indicative paper on it that might ruin the utter perfection of this awesome wooden cubic box."
