hl2 got leaked once. it contained unfinished maps, more weapons and was a bit different in gameplay (e.g. giving orders to your supporters etc.)
this leak was very unfinished but contained some of the e3 maps (which can be downloaded on some hl2 fan sites now). it also had other weapons (same as the smg in the video.)
i guess its still a pretty rare leak but there were also mods like counter-strike ported for that leak. (crappy port like valve did with hl: s)
