Not a big fan about posting profile bios, but I guess I'll do one. I'm a PC gamer fan and not that big on console. I like to modify games for personal use but sometimes start up mini projects. I love to create levels. Oh and I'm not afraid to tell you to your face if I think your level/mod needs improving. I also tend to hang out on the ZP:S forums alot (best game ever). I will try and help you out even if no one else will.

Also what's this about it not being slenderman now? Who are you trying to fool? If this is for legal reason I don't think a simple name change is going to be enough when the character in question looks and has the same persona as the slenderman.

I know I suggested you guys come up with a new monster but when I said that I kind of meant a completely new monster, not just a name swap. /rant

First 2 sentences are good.
Reword sentence 3 to say: "Slowly you feel as if you've been here before"
Reword sentence 4 to say: "Your attempts to remember details is futile"

Everyone has there favorite engine and it just so happens that lots of people really favor Source for its modability, full sdk, plenty of tutorials on modding it, a great community, and lots of help from the people who made it. (have you ever emailed valve with a question? They got back to me in a day where as it took a different company a week)

Interesting concept but seems impractical if you have your desktop properly organized.

Why would I launch a source mod to launch my web browser? That sounds like not only a waste of time but an unnecessary use of resources (unless it kills the mod on launch of a program).

That said I do see how this could be really useful with Valves Big Picture mode for steam and for those who like a more visual representation of their computer.

This is in now way true at all, ZPS and other well known mods have had that in their name for ages. The problem with Source being in the name had to do with Black Mesa as they didn't want people being confused thinking it was an official rerelease.

I hate to break it to you but the amount of money you made off that indie go go campaign ($1,151) is no where near enough to hire a professional team especially considering you're releasing a free mod that will not be generating any revenue.

And now you're planning DLC and yet you have no playable build to show anyone?

Finally if you want to be original like you claim you want to be drop Slenderman entirely and come up with your own ideas. He's been beaten into the ground at this point and the only people you are attracting are preteens who watch awful youtube videos. It's not that hard to come up with an original monster, for what you guys are wanting to do it would suit your mod better to come up with something different.

Are you at all related to this group and if not are they aware of you using their name? Not trying to be an ******* but this could really come back to bite you down the road. You can't just use the name of an already established studio.

Also if licensing is an issue why not drop Slenderman completely and come up with an original character? I find it hard to believe no one on your team can come up with something similar or better then Slenderman. Plus it would really help to set your mod apart from other slender games. Slenderman is a popular IP at the moment but I think you guys could really come up with something more original.

@Kinuhudai: You do know that L4D and L4D2 run on the source engine right? Valve just gave them a more upgraded version of the editor (wish they would upgrade the old hammer to support instancing and the fix for the grid number problem)

And why is everyone saying source is to old? Don't know if anyone has noticed yet but they keep upgrading it with each new game they release, sure the older games like HL2 are not going to have as amazing graphics as newer games but that's because it was released and finished in 2004.
