Apparently the game uses XNA, so it's likely going to be unlikely without a complete engine rewrite. :|

For those who are running 64bit Ubuntu and unable to run, this will fix the issue of the "file not found" error. It's because it's looking for a library at a hard coded location not provided. Simply run the following command and it will run:
sudo ln -s /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 /lib/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2

All the text dialogue fails to load, making the intro and the encylopedia useless. At least in the Linux 64bit release as of today.
