I am the Darkness inside your mind, I am the grief and sorrow within your heart. I am souless and empty. I am the lack of. The lack of compassion, remorse, pity. Yet I am the loss, the regret, the broken heart. When a storm cries, I am it's tears. I am a contradiction. Creation flows through my veins. I am the artistic, the melancholy, the somber reminder of your mortal coil. When all is lost, and life has withered away to nothing more than dust, I will remain. I am...Vormaen. Hell, I only visit this page now to hear what comes out of the mouth of infants. Because Half of you have nothing else constructive to say, so everything has degenerated into middle school antics. It's quite hilarious. I am wondering, however, how many actually have the constitution to pull the chips out of the greasy rolls, slide the keyboard away, and get up to exercise or at least get a breath of fresh air. Really fun, I must say, while I sit here at work! Troll on!!

@ Spik3d: In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. On the other hand......What you are doing is being a Mirror Troll. By pointing out that others are being trolls. Then there are the concern trolls, who pretend to support the devs when in fact their slight concern about things is just another way to sew fear and distrust on the forums. So in all accounts almost every single person here is acting like a troll for consistently posting their side's argument on why you should hate or love the devs or the game. Nuff said.

If you wanna pass the time with a mod that has regular updates, check out the Middle Earth Mod for Oblivion. regular updates and beta testing keeps things fresh. Just come back every once in awhile to this mod, eventually news will come without having to babysit it.

Imagine it's Like Blizzard, who always gives the answer "when it's done." You can only make some of the people happy some of the time. I would hope the devs would have taken all the negative talk lightly, the whole "not talking to you" approach seems very High School. Give em hope or give em death, that would be my approach if I was doing such a big project.

My advice to devs or anyone working on Black Mesa Source: Take just a minute everyday, let us know you're there. Of course there will still be those prudes with corncobs shoved up their *** but for the most part the positive feedback will return. Show us you do care, and we'll return the favor.

At Stormseeker: I know you folks are working hard to release this. It's never about media release, it's about reassurance. You put yourselves in the limelight, and again fame is a fickle thing. By taking on the fame you also have to work diligently to keep it. I don't who you all are making the game for, but it sounds like you do this for the community. And you folks want to be known for your accomplishment. Well trolls don't feed on positive energy. Lack of communication leads to trolls, and I can say from personal experience that I stopped watching this mod for 2 years because of the lack of info or even an acknowledgment we were even there. I'm not saying it was intentional. But it does leave a mark on the community, and no matter if it's free or not, they are taking the time everyday to try and keep your fame there by paying attention to your mod. What is that worth?

I'm going to say this once. If you don't wanna get burned, do not jump into the oven. Trolls are annoying but most of them troll because they feel disrespected by the devs. If you do not want trolling, learn that with fame comes a responsibility to your fans. Famous actors who spurn their fan base get burned just as bad, but in a more wide open medium. If a dev does not keep their fans in the loop expect any sort of backlash or badmouthing, it's human nature. Anyone whining about trolls does not get this or they would not be complaining. "With great fame comes great responsibility."

Seeing the same old trolls on here day after day posting 5-10 times a day gets pretty stale as well. True definition of a fanboy is someone who obsesses over something and madly defends it no matter what the outcome. I have a funny feeling if all go quiet for say a month without anything posted maybe the Devs will grant you your wishes ;)

You know, complaining about the complainers is so counter productive. It's just as bad. babysitting the forums is juvenile and no good for a human being trying to persist something close to a life. There are so many good projects here that deserve your attentions. If the Devs take 6-7 years to make a mod that is their deal, I'm sure they're well aware of the time. Move on already.

Hey, wanna hear some true middle ground sh*t right here? Here it is:

Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one, most stink, and some prefer silent but deadly, some prefer loud and disgusting. In other words, everyone here has a right to speak their mind or frustrations, and if all you're gonna do is badger one side or the other, just SHUT the FRELL up. is that simple enough for you people to understand? m'kay....buh bye.

Two things to remind people of. Anyone ripping into newcomers over no updates with the twitter defense, I must remind you that no updates have been posted since January. So let those folks alone, they feel they will be crushed and disappointed. And the second thing I noticed was on the official forums one of the devs quoted as being in a real sour mood, so we may be missing updates because of something that went wrong that they would really not like to share with us. Their right. If the mod comes out, you know you'll play it and all will be right with the world. If not, I wouldn't expect the dev team would get careers in the gaming field anytime in the future. I laugh with my buddy, with all the delays maybe we can call the game BLIZZARD MESA SOURCE.

People post here to complain because.....drumroll......it's what humans do best. Whether it be about a movie or some mod someone is making, doesn't matter. The more you respond, the more they post. Ignore it and it won't bother anyone. Wow, that sounds easier that it looks right?

Seriously, now you choose big winded words to better display your "higher" intelligence over the so called Froth mouthed fans, without once really acknowledging a word I said? That's a good sign of a troll. Let me repeat myself one last time, so maybe you'll understand better. I could care less if this ever comes out. If I perhaps glance over one day and it's released I may download it, but obviously it doesn't take up my waking existence as it seems to do for you. Again I came on to defend others' rights to their opinion, as people are understandably frustrated, whether it's founded or not. People often have to be defended for their opinion, say for example in politics, because we all know what happens to liberals if they dare speak up against the conservative machine for change. Whether you like their opinion or not, it does not call for you to take it upon yourself to badmouth anyone. State your counter opinion and move on. As for the limit scope of your last statement, "You said these guys are working there ***** off, but then you say they have a life. Doesn't that contradict what you are saying? " It only contradicts if I were a bit more clear on time constraints. But I wasn't, was I? SO....for the limited time they have every day or week or month, they MUST bust their ***** off. Is that better clarification for such a formidable intellect such as yourself?

See, That's my point. I'm not being rude towards anyone, not even the devs, and you have to lower yourself to banter such as that. I am not a regular because I have something called a life. You know what that is, right? A fiancee, a kid. All those good things. In fact I never once said anything bad towards anyone due to the fact I KNOW they have lives. They've received a lot of recognition for their plight. I made my statement explaining why people MAY be upset. 6 years is a long time for people to wait with nothing but teasers. Demo, perhaps? It's all well and good, but must I remind people about that Star Wars mod that took forever, got a lot of awards for technology, and ended up nothing but a pipe dream. You cannot blame anyone for having a bad taste in their mouth from past experiences. I for one always have reserved optimism for such a large project. I am more excited for Uru live open source right now, at that suffices. But to allow some chucklehead like yourself to one tell me that I don't deserve to play, and two attempt to razz me with your little flaming temper is beyond childish. Grow up, allow people to vent, which is their G_d given right, and if you don't like opinions, then don't read forum posts. Nuff said.

I think it comes down to respect, one for the devs and the other for the fans. I am still hopeful for this release, but it comes down to the quality of the release. I am rarely interested in following this anymore, and I suspect that any others who thought about making this bowed out in respect for these guys taking on the project. If they have no plans on releasing it down the road, then 6 years were wasted that someone else could have been making this. Not saying that they will flake out on us. I think people are tired of being told to be patient over and over. I'd laugh if the new Half life engine came out and they said they postpone further to transfer the content to the new engine, which would have a release date of 2012. Nuff said.

Any way the cookie crumbles it's the patient vs the impatient vs the borderline folks. By no means is the team under any obligation to anyone. But that does not stop the fact that some people have moved on since the game's beginning. I used to watch this religiously. I barely frequent it anymore, there's so many other great mods out there. I have high hopes, but when deadlines start getting set and passed, I have to be realistic. If it comes out, great. If not I'm passed being disappointed.
