I started to work with CryEngine Sandbox twelve years ago. (damn, already 13 years?) I also work with Game Maker and I'm learning with Unreal Engine 4.
Finally managed to read Zs from the terrain. Originally I wanted to read it directly from colors of a heightmap but it appeared to not be possible. After consulting with Game Maker forum member kburkhart84, I've managed to reach it using different way. There's still a lot of work around terrain to be done but this 3 weeks long fight is finally over.
BTW, that building is only in 20% of its real size. Just telling you for an idea how miniature this testing terrain is.
what did you plan with that ? a new game? or new terrain for your game?
Yes, I'm planning a new game.
I'm slowly finishing my current game (right now most of the stuff can't be done by me, for example, I'm trying to get some music).
Meanwhile, I'm doing a technical preparation for a next game.
The Razor Sharp I was doing before was canceled because of amateur technical solutions. I've learnt better ways to do many things.
