thanosh might be right.. this is gonna be a bitch to fill up, and it's probably still gonna look empty after that.. that's the downside to creating larger rooms in HL2..
hmm, it looks like you just made a texture of four tiles and kept tiling that.. it wouldn't hurt to include more tiles in the texture, so that the tiling doesn't look so obvious..(wow that's a weird sentence)
don't know if that made any sense.
speculars tend to get waaay too shiny in HL2 for some reason, it's best to turn the specmap down to near-black for a realistic reflection..
also, matt is right, the walls and floor look too bumpy.
i've only played a bit of the mod, but i really like the total conversion you did and the style is pretty neat too, but one thing really bothers me;
there's no save or quicksave option, and that's kinda what made me stop playing it, cause having to start over at that asylum every time really ruined it for me.
otherwise, great work.
no, leave the aliens out.. aliens and predator are two different universes that have been glued together as a lame combo, which was never meant to be.
don't screw up your mod with trying to include the xenomorphs too..
i like the idea of a predator mod in a crysis jungle, but adding aliens too would just be a waste of time and gameplay.
I like the parallax mapping with matching borders, and the soft bodies.. but i'm wondering if you're sticking your time in the right things.
are you still making a mod, or are you planning to make a whole new game?
it's a shame that you don't see any of the nice geometry that was used for the drillbit in first-person view..
btw is this a drill or just a huge corkscrew ;D ?
the texture can't 'hide' the tiny normalmap detail, because it only shows when the light hits the model.. this is not wasted work.
what i am wondering was, this doesn't happen to be a single frame of a sequence for this dino, right?
because if it's not, i want to know why you modeled this in this position, instead of in the idle pose..
the model looks great btw, awesome work.
lol
actually, the textures for HL1 never have to be that detailed.. it's harder to do for HL2.
the monster looks creepy, nice work.
yep, way too dark..
i think it's the image, not your pc, that's set too dark.
i've never heard of this mod, but the teaser was pretty cool, now i'm curious what this mod is about.
..gary busey's son?
not in a million years!
as has been stated more than once.. that haircut makes it look like he's wearing a ragged hoodie.. short hair would probabyl suit him better.
good god, do yourself a favour and get a pentablet..
nevermind that.. i thought that i'd read somewhere that you'd enhanced the graphics a bit, but it appears you didnt't.
can you maybe post some screenshots showing the difference between normal crysis, and your altered version, for comparison?
awesome

ehm.. don't you think you're getting a little over-excited.. :S
it's only a dark patch of land..

teehee

i don't see anything.. :S
is that supposed to be a cat?
you should put some lights in this scene, cause you can't make anything out of this..
nevermind those 'zombies', there's a SPAS with a magazine here!?
you must have one good reason to do this..
it's a shame that you don't see any of the nice geometry that was used for the drillbit in first-person view..

it all looks decent, but it wouldn't hurt to add a bit more geometry to these large rooms, to make it feel less empty ;)
great work, and these character renders that you make are real classy!
je weet het!~
great texture-work, really impressive!

it looks like a zbrush or mudbox model, which is way to high-detail for any pc atm.
best dinosaur i've seen on moddb so far; keep up the great work!
