Currently having a look at rebellion. The new lighting makes my nipples hard ^^
The funny thing is, Ive randomly started modding aftershock! lol
Your right, it is never to late if its unforgettable.
Lookin good ^^
Interesting > Ibd-deisenroth-engineering.de
Thanks man. I cant take all the credit though! if it wasnt for things like DMZ, Macross and Blue Gender (to name a few), I would have never been able to write something so interesting :)
Uvmappings almost done :D
Im surprised nobody noticed, but the beginning of Wargame 2073's world is based on the graphic novel 'DMZ' by Brian Wood, of which Im a huge fan of ;)
I could most definitely use the help, can you shoot me your email in a pm? Cheers :)
So far the AI handle the mecha pretty well, though hover vehicles occasionally behave a bit weird around cover, though I think thats been fixed recently thanks to corehound.
Akira, Macross, Bluegender and the Animatrix: Second Renaissance part 2.
The small green mecha is a fanwork based on the multiped tanks/tachikomas from the anime Ghost in the Shell. Rest of the images are just randoms from the web/deviant art.
There arnt any servers up at the moment
When its ready mate.
Will be posting the storyline today when I get pack from work ;)
You can never go wrong with an overly large helmet, ghost in the shell style visor and high collar armor! Glad you like it :)
I played Blacklight Ret for a few months and yes there design style has most defiantly rubbed off on me.
I basically combined future soldier concepts from the 80's and 90's and 15mm scifi miniatures with Blacklights style, this is the result :)
You know it man, when it comes to refined sexyness ABH are it. Ill try to equally cover progress of both the ABH and EDF this time, compared to the heavy focus of EDF when I started working on VS.
Yep Im back, like a moth to a flame :P
Page will be un-archived if I continue to work on this for a few more months, wanna get some stuff ingame before we start celebrating/un-archiving.
Its also likely that once the balls rolling, Ill be developing this for Rebellion.
Thanks man. Regarding the mods status, Ill un-archive it once Ive got some ships ingame.
Woah, ive only just read this comment an you posted it ages back. Regardless, thats an absolutly perfect description of cyberpunk in ym eyes :)
Heh yeah its a little decieving, though I did say it was from his 'Core Vehicles' mod :)
No worries though, gonna be ages for me to get this finished (though planning to get a demo out by the summer) so gives u plenty of time to save up, an perhaps nab one of those steam deals.
Thats videos just showcasing the mech in action, the geth an stuff is just my friends personal mod.
Everything in this mod from the mechs and guns to the buildings and interior clutter will be made by myself, or I will have gotten permission to use it from another mod.
Honestly, you wont recognize NV by the time Im done with it ;)
Almost finished this beasts uv map :)
Thanks for the support. Theres just gonna be one version of this mod and it wont require any DLC's. Reason for this is theres nothing I need from DLC's :)
Agreed man. I could have perhaps added more detail, but wanna keep this simple as its my first time uv mapping ^^ Deffiniatly a fan of 'realistic' mecha aswell, especially for the large ones.
I do like progression though, like this mecha is a 1st generation design, mimicking design principles you see on modern battle tanks.
Eventually, youll start seeing more advanced concepts, as artifical muscles, powersystems and armor compesotions evolve, allowing mecha to evolve into something, far more nimble and deadly.
Hey man good to see ya. Yep this projects back again, reworked and slimmed down. A more intelligent animal.
The script in question is still a work in progress, but what I will say is that we aim to replicate the online team style play, not the 1v1 or vs cpu style. Cant stand that cat an mouse rubbish lol.
Theres several machanics we can use so they player can fortify the resource points in way or another. Additionally, we could place the enemy ai patrol and spawn markers just in the hotspots, instead of over each resource point. But before I comment any further on this, Ill wait till the cap/defend ai behavior script has been developed a bit more.
Nope youll just be fighting in the battlezones, using the mechanics explained in this article.
Also, I dont want to spoil to much, but there will be rewards you can purchase outside the battlezones.
There is a storyline and rpg elements like unlocks, and almost every model is custom built. That aside, yes its primairly a combat mod.
Perhaps once weve released this mod we could add more rpg features, but unless there already in developement or completed, you wont be hearing about them.
you know it man, cant have a cyberpunk wargame without some type of tank-mecha monstrosity ;)
Like wise with every supportive comment I see, keep em comin! :)
So very tempted to upload a certain 90% finished, new class of warmachine I've concocted, but it still needs a bit more detail.
Cheers man :)
Already has one ;)
Haha yeah I remember that scene, when that car went flying I was like GTFO Patlabor.
Hopit, Your whats wrong with the world.
Will be using the rig setup from turrets already ingame, with a simple friend/foe ai package. Expect to see them dotted around military installations :)
Cheers lads ^^
orks orks orks
Thanks man. Yep thats the cockpit.
3ds max is totally boss, plus its pretty much the industry standard. but, what ever your most experienced with will probs be best.
as they say, you can create something much better on unity if your highly experienced with unity, then something more powerful like cryengine if you only have beginner level experience with cryengine.
They are working on an ingame chat client, though Im unsure as to how long it will be until its released in the test build.
As JC mentioned, all the details are still yet to be added to this worldspace. Since were on the subject, what type of lighting would you be intrested in seeing? Anything specific?
When you setup your server, you can choose the game type. MMO, deathmatch, the balls in your court when it comes to customization.
You will also be able to install mods. If you wish to play on a server with mods, you need to have the exact same mod data in your folder as everyone else. For anyone who has played fallout with mods, you will know how easy this is to do.
These look awesome alex, nice work.
To keep things simple, it will be a leveled spawning system. These spawns will also attack bases and citys youve captured and your allies bases.
Likewise, your allies will also be randomly spawning at enemy bases. A message notifying you when your base, an enemy base or an allied base is under attack will appear on the players screen once the defenders start taking casulties, giving you a chance to join the battle.
This model will be for every faction an serves 2 purposes as noted in my comment above.
Its both, along with being an RPG ;)
What you see here is Corehounds own mod, this content wont be in TJP because these are kitbashed armor pieces upscaled to look like mecha (but their operation is the same as mecha, the same principle). The image is just to give you an idea of what mecha combat will look like, the sense an scale of it, what can be achived.
Our mecha, will be custom made mecha models/textures (like all our own content), not just kitbased armor pieces (even though this kitbash in particular is awesome, mad props to corehound), working on the same principle. I call it a collaberation because I speak to corehound fairly often about mecha functionality an vehicles in general, giving eachother tips and stuff.
The enclave know the king runs freeside, and the king knows enclave 'deal' with those who oppose their rule. Its a give-take relationship.
When the mods released, It l just be one mod. Here were just testing stuff thus the multiple mods :)
Ive recently purchased 3dcoat, so I can add some wasteland wear an tear to it.
Its not on youtube. Were making an official faction wars channel soon, be uploading all our latest videos there so hold tight.
Yes indeed. Have to admit, they got some cool stuff.
If you watch our videos, you will see runways and the jets and helicopters that use them.
chillout dude, no need to get ur knickers ina twist :P
using the render option in blender
That I did, and you enjoyed it, didnt you. haha.
New update on the way :)
Im not even a halo fan but man are those impressive.
nope you didnt miss anything, what your seeing here is top secret footage of a mysterious alien race engaging several squads of ncr.
the giant robot, is liberty prime from fallout 3, hes currently a place holder as we test out mecha animations.
our goal is to have mecha like this ingame Youtube.com
I have an idea for mounting eg jetbikes, but we have priorities and for now thats squadcombat and tanks.
Yeah the NCR's 'vertibird' is a frail/unarmed Chinook. The other factions 'vertibirds' are very powerful, advanced VTOL transport/gunships.
Yes. Were currently using him to refine the mecha animations using liberty prime
Its rausheim you should be thanking, hes the mastermind behind the the drivable tanks, i simply came up with a good idea so we could collaborate :)
If you wanna edit and re-UV this model to the level koobalt has be my guest.
It would look weird to have straight fire rear guns, which could result in strange ship behavior.
Dont worry tho, it will still be a beast.
Can thank dragonslayer & fileosoft for that one, here, check her out in action ;) Youtube.com
Most likely be sporting 4 electromagnetic cannons, several small laser cannons and a battery of intelligent spacetime mines.
level pwn fire support, sweet!
The first release wont contain any custom star bases. The first goal is just to get the new ships in game and balanced.
Once thats done, custom starbases, custom ui and custom sounds will be Implemented, when this happens, there will also be new ships added.
I intend to release a beta of the first stage, with the majority of each races ships included. Once I get some feedback from that this project will move to stage 2 to be fully fleshed out (as mentioned above, starbases, ui, sounds etc).
The first time watching crest, I really didnt know what they were going on about, especially when they start the show off speaking in their own ABH language (which really threw me off ha) but after a while you get the hang of it, problem was coming across dubbs which were so poor would make you cringe like watching bruno.
Was the Gosroth the ship Lafiels mom commanded which was over-run and destroyed? Ive taken Screens of nearly every combat ship from pretty much every episode of crest, banner, banner 2, and every other movie/series which contained quality warships but many I cannot remember the name of. I might have to do a 'name this ship' event here.
Dominion if Ishitar, are mainly influenced by the Zendradi from macross, aswell as The warrior aliens from Detonator Orgun.
The Aphrodian Council are inspired by things like freemasonry, the new world order, and the world banks, aswell as the banking clans from startwars. Their art direction is influenced by the Legend of the Galactic Heroes series, the older Gundam movies aswell as Cowboy bebop, Outlawstar, Space Battleship Yamoto & Captin harlock.
Decendants of Mu are mainly influenced by the Mu race from rahxephon, various Final Fantasy elements, and a dash of Tenchi muyo. Need to keep these guys mysterious, so thats enough information for now...
Things change all the time, and not everything will be strictly cannon as this wouldnt allow space for origional creation, and that would be rather boring. So expect all your favorite ships, many origional ships and even some outright surprises.
The whole concept of spacetime bubbles really opened the door for fascinating tactical dynamics which the show really fleshed out, things like this were what really polarised me to the show. Plus the ship design was really intresting.
Indeed your correct about the wording for 'Humankind Empire Abh' thankyou for pointing that out, *tips hat.
Vermillion, just seemed to feel right, when thinking of animewarfare whith a touch of class that space operas ushually contained, many names just felt a bit cheesy or over used, theres also hardly anything else on the market called Vermillion, besides the giant orange mech in rahxephon, and a squad tactic in the comic shrapnal.
