I approve of this mech design. Model/texture is pretty stellar aswell.
@DarkAssassian - Most likely, as its self-contained in its own little world, and uses very few assets from the vanilla game.
@.Clash - You're correct, its a total conversion.
Yeah Im definitely gonna be looking towards the Battlefield series in terms of map design.
Cheers man :)
1) The Animatrix: Second Renaissance - Part 2
2) Blue Gender
PM me if you use steam, an wanna bug someone every now an then about 'how do I do this an that in blender?'.
Blender all the way, 2.65 is the buisness, clean an easy to use.
This model is called a Sutherland FUSK (frame urban survival kit), because its based off the Sutherland knightmare, from Code Geass :)
Wow nice work man!
Already has one ;)
The 'larger' turret appears larger due to housing 3 layer defense, being - 1) ERA, 2) Spaced depleted uranium and 3) Electromagnetic reactive active inner shell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7rxBifd0cY)- the face of 2020+ era warfare.
Defeat all those with a T-90 an Ill buy you a beer myself :)
Haha yeah I remember that scene, when that car went flying I was like GTFO Patlabor.
Sure man, pm sent.
3 mechs uvmapped, one to go..
Yep. The lack of decent tactical/scifi games to play atm is one of the main motivating factors behind wargame. You know what they say "If you want a thing done well, gotta do it yourself" ^^
Ah so its from NS 2 ey? Sweet.
Aye man I feel ya. I hate back/white - its all about the shades of grey. FSA is no Mary Sue thats for sure. Keep in mind, initial releases of this project will likely contain very little narrative - being almost a purely tactical combat experience.
Main goal here is to just get the new units an terrain pieces ingame. That in itself is a mammoth task. After that I can put togeather 'Skirmish Mode' Beta release which Im sure many people here would very much appreciate. You can expect the full campaign and plenty of narrative in the final release to come after that.
Ah man thanks for the kind words. All these random comments on here are what keep me motivated so its much appreciated.
This project is like some kinda mecha-zombie. It should be dead, but it keeps on coming back to eat your face while playing obnoxious dubstep. A disturbing, yet fascinating existence.
Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Macross, Blue Gender and The Animatrix: Second Renaissance - Part 2. Everything else is random concept art from around the web ^^
Just googled, now that is interesting. Im not sure if the Syrian FSA are legit OG's fightin the good fight, or if there simply CIA backed warlords attempting to destabilize yet another 'Rogue State'.
Ive honestly no idea what you just said, but Ill attempt decipher it. First off, which image are talking about? Theres alotta images here. Secondly, are you asking what shows/movies/media the images come from?
Bubblegum Crisis good sir
Nostalgia bomb, inbound :)
Which armors were those? The BoS advanced infantryman armor? Thats the only one I kitbashed for TJP. Its unfinished, but I guse I could up it. Its rigged an stuff, but you gotta add it to the game yourself in the geck. The other 2 being the Jin Roh an Fallout Tactics Powerarmor are ones I just got permission to use. They should both be available on nexus.
Likely, when its ready ^^
The geck hasnt been altered, its just you can make mods with the geck, then host those on your own vaultmp server.
Oo paper craft! Thats actually really popular with patlabor an gits models. Additionally, that wouldnt be a bad idea, seeing as the point of uvmapping is to 'unfold' the mesh an lay it down like an unpacked box. Hmmm.
Im not sure I follow
Hopit, Your whats wrong with the world.
