That's not entirely true, UE4 still takes a 5% royalty cut, which is still somewhat substantial.
Offering an engine without any royalty stings attached and at this low price is quite competitive but without any kind of comparable eco-system (marketplaces/launcher content/forum content) and the huge community the other engines have, might be difficult to leave much of a footprint in the already crowded engine scene.
Though that said, the competitive pricing model and impressive engine features are certainly a good start.
Its own game, built from the ground up in UE4.
Using APEX, fully destructive I suspect (to a degree). Its something I'm quite looking forward to exploring.

Thanks man, yeah I thought that aswell - the original HAW 206 just didnt look right with that funny capsule turret and vacant spidery abdomen. Though I do understand their reasoning in that it was far more maneuverable.. But who cares about about science! Just make it look awesome I say :)

The only real issue I can see is the sprint module, as it may effect the mecha, allowing the large slow ones (medium types an to be released down the road, heavy types) to sprint when they shouldnt be able to. That tho is a bridge Ill have to cross when I get to it.
@DarkAssassian - Most likely, as its self-contained in its own little world, and uses very few assets from the vanilla game.

The 'larger' turret appears larger due to housing 3 layer defense, being - 1) ERA, 2) Spaced depleted uranium and 3) Electromagnetic reactive active inner shell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7rxBifd0cY)- the face of 2020+ era warfare.

Agreed man. I could have perhaps added more detail, but wanna keep this simple as its my first time uv mapping ^^ Deffiniatly a fan of 'realistic' mecha aswell, especially for the large ones.
I do like progression though, like this mecha is a 1st generation design, mimicking design principles you see on modern battle tanks.
Eventually, youll start seeing more advanced concepts, as artifical muscles, powersystems and armor compesotions evolve, allowing mecha to evolve into something, far more nimble and deadly.
Nope youll just be fighting in the battlezones, using the mechanics explained in this article.
Also, I dont want to spoil to much, but there will be rewards you can purchase outside the battlezones.
Anyone having a problem getting Arms for Victory to run on Windows 7, try Next Stand instead, its the latest Sudden Strike 3 release an works fine on my Windows 7 64 system.

For the player it features a treatment bay for broken limbs and various other injuries, and also spawns a number purchasable medical supples. For the base it increases the capacity regeneration rate for human-type units.
Well, choose your assualt routes wisely ;) Not every area in warzones are ideal contact locations, the same goes for real life.

Regarding major combat, the space should work well as the player will only have a max of 15 units at any one time, regardless of how many hes engauging so Im not totally sure what you mean by clumsy? Would be intrested if you could elaborate.
Access points to the various facilities in captured bases will spawn once youve paied for that particular facility to be repurposed though the base mainframe.

Maxen is on the ball with this one, for the moment being expect to only see this multiplayer mod for the fallout games.
Would be nice to extend it to other singleplayer games, but we have to be realistic.
Depends on the troops you deploy, hardsuits, light battleframes and vtols would be much more suited to this terrain then tanks, heavy battleframes and artillary.
Plus some areas are non-battlezones, there just for the player to explore, who knows what youll find.
Yup the towers placeable once its been purchased. The main function of it is to detect infiltrated units, and illuminate the area around it at night.
It could also hold several stationary snipers, but the stationary guards tend to cause crashing and their not very effective, so that feature needs a bit of work before its included.
Its a medium sized battleframe, around 2 1/2 storys high. Will be one of the earlier battleframes the player has access to.

Thanks man, in a sense I can agree that some cyberpunk can also be clean, but if you take a look at genre defining movies such as Akira, Domion Tank Police or Blade Runner youll see that the gritty, worn and dirty elements of cyberpunk are just as strong, if not stronger then the clean takes on cyberpunk.
Plus, this mod is an offshoot of Fallout cannon, not a complete revision of it, so its important the models/textures reflect this.
Its driveable and can shoot. Just needs a bit more work and its finished..

Ill spill the beans :) The artist based this design off the SDF-1 and from what I can see its a hybrid using a large amount of Zentradi technology.
I see where your coming from inregards to it looking like the roil class, indeed there are some similarities in design and at the same time, theres a world of difference. Subjectivity is a beautiful thing.

During the Combat Missions, as you hold key 'Strategic Positions' or SP's on the Battlemap, you earn points known as 'Combat Data'. When you capture a Dropzone SP, and have captured all the enemies forward Anti-aircraft SP's, you then access to a sort of vendor, from the dropzone.
From this vendor, you can spend your combat data on new units, which will then be flown in by this dropship and placed under your command.

Should be compatible, only problem I see are the hotkeys. XRE Cars has hotkeys, XSquad has hotkeys and the mecha has hotkeys.. gotta make sure certain keys dont overlap with PNs hotkeys.
That and sprinting.
