Worked on mods for Swat 4 (Take-down), Fallout: Tactics BOS, some Half-life work (nothing published to the community though). Highly interested in getting involved with another mod.

First off, with all due respect I'm making clear that this is my opinion if you don't like it I don't care you're free as a human being to have your own opinions and thoughts...this is just a statement of mine.

Alright this is in response to a few statements posted on various forums about firearms rights. Basically I wanted to share my opinion on a couple of things..."hey that what a blog is for isn't it."

The statements concerned the banning of all semi-automatic firearms. Here is my thoughts on the matter

Semi-autos rifles are extremely popular in the USA with hunters, in-part due to their ability for a quick follow shot, also it's a matter of personal preference as to the type of firearm a hunter chooses to hunt with. I know a fair amount hunters that prefer semi-auto designs to others not because they think that life is a 80s action flick or because they're some Rambo wannabe but simply because that is the type of firearm they prefer or are the most comfortable with.
I myself have been fortunate enough to hunt with a variety of semi-auto rifles and bolt-actions each firearm having its own set of advantages and disadvantages. The advantages and disadvantages of a particular firearm add solely to the character of the firearm. A persons' choice of firearm for whatever application should be the one that they are most comfortable with be it an old K98 bolt-action or an AR-15.

I bet you that when the first firearms were coming into use for hunting, there were some that said only bows and arrows were the true hunting weapons.

Please remember a firearm is a tool, a firearm has never killed anyone only the person behind the firearm. The firearm has no intentions of its own, it is all about the human being that's holding the firearm. "The man makes the gun, not the other way around"

As to the comments above about military firearms being of limited use to citizens or that semi-automatic firearms are easily modified into full-auto firearm.

One there is no-such thing as a "military" or "assault weapon" these are simple terms made-up by the media and anti-gun folks, a semi-auto AR-15 or AK-47 operates in the same manner as a semi-automatic hunting rifle.

Two semi-automatic firearms are valuable for quick-follow-up shots, larger capacity magazines and overall ruggedness/reliability.

Three bump-firing is by the definition not full-auto which is defined as the firing of multiple round per one pull of the trigger. Also legal parts to convert a semi-automatic firearm to full-auto are extremely expensive ($15,000 not counting the transfer fee). Illegal conversions are just that illegal so a criminal isn't going to give a hoot about the restricted gun law anyway.

Also in terms of the tool, there is NO escaping the fact that there is no mechanical difference in the between a type of firearm i.e. (full-auto and semi-auto) and the firepower unleashed.

In the USA we have this thing called the Bill of Rights and just because you don't want something does mean you can take it from someone else. A lot of firearms laws are about imposing the tastes of one person upon others . Again I make the statement that the choice of a firearm is a personal preference and I dare say a right as a human being.

True we don't necessarily need a semi-auto firearm but them we really don't need fancy cars or nice clothes either

Now my AR15 seems to get along with the Enfield on one side of it and the Sako 75 Hunter on the other side in the safe.

Now why can't people get along as well as guns do?
