Thanks for the kind words, it means alot. :)

It's hard to say specifically what things we have improved and changed since it's been over 2 years since we put out our last release, so i guess it's better to just regard it as a overall 'general improvement'.

I'm sure you and our other players will enjoy it.

Well over 800 updates on our internal dev version, each often containing a number of changes.

It won't be an official release.

It will be an early opportunity for players who are willing to test our current alpha build in order to locate any annoying bugs we have missed while we continue to finish up the development. It's mainly for us to ensure we don't have to shove out a hot fix days after releasing 0.9.4, since obviously then we will want to be turning our attention to Warband. :)

It's still likely we will be opening this up during September, but as every one knows things do change so it's not a 100% guarantee.

IMO the mod it self is in a good shape at the moment, how ever obviously there are still numerous things that are on the 'to do list' along with bugs ect but we do intend to put the pre-1.9.4 beta up while we are still working on it so people can test it and give us active feedback. This way we can patch all the issues then so we don't have to mess around with putting out 0.9.4 and then having to put out a separate hotfix/patch days later to fix any of those annoying bugs that get picked up after release.

As for time frame; different things can effect this but as a personal rough estimate I would guess within a Month for the pre-0.9.4 beta.

I will try and shove up another Screenshot this weekend also.

Korriban is one of my favourite planets and I have thought about adding it into the mod numerous times in the past but due to there still being several planets (each planet has numerous scenes) that need to be brought up to our quality standard for the next release along with korriban being not heavily present in lore during 1 ABY it's quite low down on the priority list.

For a little progress update, I've just been finishing up the "Mandalore - Sundari City" scene, it's looking alright though the lighting is a little strange at the moment, may try and get a screenshot of it up in the next couple of weeks. :)

If you are getting: "unable to open texture file texture\tld_progress_bar.dds"

You need a separate install of M&B in order to play both. TLD uses modified files that are not compatible with any other mods including Native.

Once we finish 0.9.4 we will be looking at porting the entire mod over to Warband. There is no time estimate to how long this might take though.

Oh Lol, Sorry I didn't pick up on the Star Wars pun. :P

We get people asking the "plzzz add (insert irrelevant planet name) its super important!!!1" question from time to time so I've gotten in the habit of just giving kinda blunt replys to planet request questions. :P

Never. Alderaan was destroyed in 0BBY and SWC is 'loosely' set in 1ABY.

We have enough planets as it is finish, no more will be added otherwise we will never end up finishing this mod.

I fully agree we could really do with some more Star Wars Themed quests, the problem is it's just me and Swyter working on the mod at the moment and we both have a fairly long list of things that have to be finished.

If there are any M&B scripters out there who would like to contribute and write some Star Wars Themed Quests/Missions I'm sure they would be greatly appreciated by us and the community. :)

This scene is from a SpaceStation, though the ship hangers have also been redone with 3 variations of hangers depending on which faction you are currently aligned with. :)

Unfortunately M&B doesn't have the smartest AI, they will generally take the most direct route during combat and ignore the AI pathway meshes and therefore just end up running them selfs into what ever objects are in their path.

Just to show the scale of that scene, those two small dots on the far left corner of the hanger are two stormtroopers. pretty big hanger. :P

We've been using DVCS systems for the past year or so of our development, mainly for our internal use though the plan is to open it up down the line so end users can access and play a active development "pre-beta" version that we can patch instantly in response to the feedback we receive.

Desura is an application that simplifies the process of downloading mods/games. If your having problems with it you can simply download our mod by one of our mirrors:

-> Go to Top of this page, click "SWC 0.9.0.3 Beta / 159.20mb"
-> Then click "Download Now"
-> Put the folder into your Mount&blade/modules/ directory.

Yeah, there are still quite a few things that require alot more work. Personally I would prefer to hold off until we're at a more ready stage then we can allow every one in for open beta testing, get alot of useful feedback from that and fix what ever needs fixing/improving. Then have a nice stable final release.:)

Progress is currently very good, we're making lots of head way and many improvements each week so things are rapidly moving in the right direction. :)

We appreciate that there's alot of people waiting for us to bring out a release, we're also very keen to have you guys playing it and listening to the feedback. Currently it's just me and Swyter working on SWC, SWC is a pretty big project for just two active developers so things do take abit of time.

Any way I'm sure you guys won't be disappointed with the next release, it's truly becoming the Star Wars Mod that we've always wanted. :)

Thanks all, really means alot to be placed within the top 100. :)

Remember this is a pre-beta version so there will be bugs, hopefully you be able to help us locate those bugs so we can fix them before we release our official version in the next few weeks.

Please submit bug reports to us at the current location: Dev.getconquest.net

Thanks and hope you all enjoy the "slight" improvement. :)

ps: The Emptiness at Coruscant & Tatooine scenes isn't a bug, it's just not had any love yet. It will be done by the official release.
