I'm a guy who is beyond passionate about art. I have devoted my life to creating concept art for games and learning everything I can about this exciting industry. If you need my services or have any questions, feel free to get in touch with me!
Thank you for understanding!
It is sad to put it on hold, but we just don't have the resources or team to bring it to a high enough polish on a technical level at the moment.
We will continue making art in the entertainment industry and hopefully we can come back to this someday!
This game looks like it has some potential. Good luck!
Yeah, I see your point, we might end up changing it. But Sniper Nest just sounds so cool!
There is a loading mechanism behind the shield. Probably.
Looks very pretty so far. Nice job!
Only a couple of the concepts are insect inspired. Most units are based heavily on real life WW1 vehicles and soldiers.
Thank you! Yep, Belgium!
No problem! I'll try to check around more often to see if I missed any comments. But yeah, we are really close to releasing a free demo for people to try out. We've worked out a lot of bugs and we think the game is pretty fun so far. Can't wait to let you try it out!
Goodness, didn't see this until now. (I don't get notifications when people comment, sorry!)
It will be RTS style. The camera is sort of like a 2D side scroller. When you build units they come out of the HQ and travel towards the enemy base on their own. You can build defenses along the path they travel.
Dakka Dakka Dakka.
Double - Double Barrel = Quad Barrel!
Awesome, glad to hear it!
Thank you! We will try a bit more shark face on the 3d version and see how it looks.
We mainly changed the name because we felt like it didn't really describe the game. We feel Iron Star was a bit too abstract, and that No Man's Land is a strong reference to an actual WW1 term and really describes what the battlefield of the game is.
We know changing the name isn't ideal, so we apologize if you liked the Iron Star name. But we feel like it will be a positive change in the long run.
We hope you understand!
Haha, I just now saw this. Templar, you are hilarious.
Yeah, we think Belgium deserves some more love then it usually gets in games.
That's awesome! I've always loved Red Alert. We will definitely be bringing ours to life. That's super cool though, thanks for sharing that!
We are still working on getting a public demo out. We are working on adding more units, defenses, and research options for everyone to play with.
And Multiplayer is one of our main focuses! We definitely want people to be able to play against their friends and others online.
The game is sort of a mix between RTS and Tower Defense.
And yeah, we really wanted to put Japan in there for something different. It will add something really unique. Hopefully we can add France in later on!
There isn't anywhere that you can currently back the project. Thanks for the kind words!
Well, we decided that Belgium's Hero Ability would be to launch tear gas onto the battlefield, slowing an damaging enemy units. So I wanted to create a commander that looked like he would utilize gas. I'm happy with how he turned out. I might take another pass at him later though if I have time.
Yeah France would work pretty well. We have considered putting them in and other nations as well, but we ultimately decided on our current line up. We've already designed everything out, but if things go well with the game, we would be more then happy to add France in as well!
Thanks, Christian did a great job!
Great suggestion! I would love to add something like that to the game. That will be way down the line though, right now we are focusing on creating units, levels, and programming everything to function flawlessly.
