We are not officially supporting the WON version of the game as we are unable to test or carry out fixes on our end. The initial release will support Steam HL only.

If you have a box copy of HL, try activating it on steam with the CD-Key. Not sure if this still works but doing that got me the original game and the expansions on Steam. :)

Thanks for the feedback so far. I have really only focused on the reception area in this shot. The rest of this room is bare bones and I will continue to pile in the detail and post an updated shot soon. Just wanted something online for the new year. :D

Iron sights work, but they have their place. We certainly never needed them 15 years ago, even in the tactical shooters.

My main point is like Thanos has said. Rooms need fine detail to make them feel like rooms. Not just bland empty boxes.

Regarding room shapes, I would say to USE real world rooms as inspiration. You'll have a hard time finding a room that is genuinely square in real life. There are none in my house or my office that's for sure. :P

Tracking the crap out of this! Also, it is not listed on your jobs page, but I'll put up a voice acting demo reel on your forums soon, in case anything opens up. :D

Perhaps it's because it's only an alpha. I for one didn't understand what I was meant to do. There seemed to be no story at all which is kind of important to give players direction and motive.

Hey, I'm not arguing. I'm just hoping the creator isn't hoping to achieve anything of value here. It would be much easier to just punch this guy in the face. That's exactly what I did when faced with one particular ******* in my school years. That got my point across and didn't take 6 years. :P

Either way, I'm done here. This mod is based on a personal issue and there is no reason for me or anyone other than its creator to play it.

Clearly I'm out of touch with the youths of today. I see no sense in wasting your younger years on a fruitless project.

Urby Dec 26 2014, 3:32pm replied:

Regardless of him not mentioning names, what is he hoping to achieve. Making a mod about a guy because of something that happened 2 years ago?

It's unlikely that the person in question will ever see this and even less unlikely that anyone who plays this will get anything out of it. Slaving over a project with that outlook for 6 years is nothing but a waste of free time, which is something you just cannot do when you're young. You don't get that time back.

So, this is a mod being made to offend some idiot at your school?

Wow. That is literally the most dorky, spineless thing I have ever heard in my life... If this was directed at me I would laugh in your face.

I'm also positive you have no idea what the insult "******" even means.

You're definitely improving, but you need to start varying your rooms a little. They just look to bare and the lighting is a little bland. Mix things up a little. :)

We generally frown upon crates that just explode when whacked with a blunt object so there will be very few instances of supplies in crates. Ammo can be found in military crates that have been left open, but don't expect them to be that careless very often.

"Here is the last version of the Cinematic Mod created by Fakefactory. It will be the last one."

He only updated the Alyx model? Shame, I though he'd finally seen sense and was going to redo all the characters so they matched the originals...

I guess I won't bother getting it. :(
