Basics of mapping.
Creating realistic environments.
Texturing.
Lighting.

Source mapping demands scrupulous attention to detail and hours and hours of work on a single area to create something that looks stunning and plays well. The images you've uploaded at the moment look like 5 minutes work tops. All's I'm saying is you will need to learn as much as possible about mapping if you want to pull this off. Same goes for everything else in life really. It's a pain in the *** but it pays off. :)

I did have the space map transition problem but other than that, nothing major. I enjoyed it over all and should have the review recorded and online at some point this weekend.

Check out some mapping tutorials and join a few communities and learn how to map. Once you've got that down (give it maybe a couple of years) THEN you could consider taking on such a big project.

I would say to try and avoid just having 4 walls a floor and a ceiling. Mix it up a little, throw in the odd alcove here and there. Also, supports are always handy for breaking up larger and bland rooms.

Good to know. Still, 1 month seems an awfully short timescale to get stuff cleared up. I have friends who have spent anything up to a month on a single map, polishing and balancing gameplay.

I can see several issues with this:
- Combine Soldiers which were not present during the 7 hours war.
- Zombies in City 17 outfits.
- Mapping needs a lot more work.
- Player utilising an HEV suit. How and why?
