Also, I enjoy making video reviews for mods for Half-Life and Half-Life 2, so let me know if you want me to review one and I'll fit it in when I can.

Pretty simple. The old version is pictured on the bottom right, the main part is the updated version. :)

How do you mean? Any input would be gladly appreciated.

I was going for a more elite look but I don't want to go too far from the HL canon. Also, I'm by no means a modeller. :P

You guys know you can still use the term "Tactical" for a 1950's setting right? Just use older weapons.

So, this is not a mod. It is a skin pack... a bad skin pack. Also, credit the authors.

Well, I hang around this site most of the time: Twhl.co.za or there's Interlopers.net

There's some basic tutorials there. I'm trying to get into Source myself and I find them pretty helpful.

Tutorials to look up.

Basics of mapping.
Creating realistic environments.
Texturing.
Lighting.

Source mapping demands scrupulous attention to detail and hours and hours of work on a single area to create something that looks stunning and plays well. The images you've uploaded at the moment look like 5 minutes work tops. All's I'm saying is you will need to learn as much as possible about mapping if you want to pull this off. Same goes for everything else in life really. It's a pain in the *** but it pays off. :)

I did have the space map transition problem but other than that, nothing major. I enjoyed it over all and should have the review recorded and online at some point this weekend.

Nice work! :D

I'm a huge player of Half-Life and its mods. I'm gonna download this now.

Would you mind if I reviewed the mod? It'll be featured on the scotch and coffee YouTube channel and get a mention on our forum. :)

Check out some mapping tutorials and join a few communities and learn how to map. Once you've got that down (give it maybe a couple of years) THEN you could consider taking on such a big project.

Pretty basic but not bad.

I would say to try and avoid just having 4 walls a floor and a ceiling. Mix it up a little, throw in the odd alcove here and there. Also, supports are always handy for breaking up larger and bland rooms.

The mapping and texture work isn't so great at the moment. Just thinking you might want to practice making smaller maps and such first before going right into the deep end with a full blown mod.

From a physics point of view. The truck would roll on its front wheel and land upright again. There's no reason it would stay stuck to the wall like that.
