One small criticism if I may.

The large double doors on the right seem a little out of place for the environment. Also, they lead almost entirely into a railing.

Otherwise I love it.

It's possible to put normal maps in HL. Hell, they did it with Quake 1, it's just a matter of coding it. Then all you need to do is make a low poly model and bake the normal map onto it.

(Not a modeller myself but I think that's the right terminology...)

Be sure to check the other angle shot. The reason it looks off is because you are likely mistaking the straps for part of the grip.

Also, don't rely on textures to do all the fine details for you. That PC tower for example. Zoom in and actually build a detailed PC case. GoldSource is a lot more versatile with detail than most people think.

Crowbars still gib bodies I'm afraid, although more gibs are now produced depending on the size of the model and the gib models from the official HD pack are being used.

I would have to agree. You could change her for a younger woman and maybe make one of the males older.

The way I see it, an aging business woman would not be the most agile person to fight through the zombie apocalypse with. If the convict were older then that would be fine because he would have spent years in prison, building up strength through manual labor and such.

Other than that, the concept art is fantastic and you have my watch (I'd like it back when you're done with it.)
