Two little concepts recently.
You may find that my designs are not quite 'set'.. Well, as a learner in drawing & modelling, trying different styles will help me gain various experiences now.
I guess the upper one likes my old designs in UXMOD in some ways. Anyway, these are just two small practice on 2D drawing, which is the basic of so many things. I'm weak in drawing but you can see me growing right here with UXMOD :)
You're right, I did this in the style of Homeworld and it will be used in FXMOD(another Chinese mod featuring original HW races) as well. I've made some ships for the original HW races since they're part of UXMOD( that include Hgn/Vgr/Kad/Ben for now). UXMOD is somehow a mixture and the style is not fixed now. There will be ships in original Homeworld feeling as well as other styles in modeling and texturing. And I'm glad that you think it fits HW2 because that's what I wanted to express.

Well.. I'm not sure about the amount of players in China but there do have some. At least hundreds of people are active in related forums and several mods are under construction. The total number of players could be much more due to cracks and even HW1 is remembered by some fans. Homeworld series are quite known compared to other space-featuring games here :)

Can't update much, but this is a Kadesh collector we(the 9CCN team) recently did.
You can see concepts(by Ksw.Immortal), Mesh&Base Texture(by Sunnycat, you may be familiar with him in 9CCN's SEED MOD) and texture enhancement (by me).
I've tried to make it look like the original HW1 style and the drawing is quite... well, challenging. Do you think it looks better ? :D
And, UXMOD is still, well, in progress(though I have to say there is few time for it). Thanks everyone that waits and understands!

You may find it a little different compared to the HW2 turrets.Yes,this is generally a ground-based turret.
There do have a version with thrusters for in-space usage...But it is still widely used in ground base defense systems.
But how come 'ground' in HW2? It is still something 'under construction'...
Of course it's not dead.. Now it's a tough time for me but I AM working on it slowly and I'm considering about a release in a few months. Keep an eye on the news here, thanks for your concern!

I can say that it's possible to do the HW2's warp "window\" in CG, but that's quite complicated. Now this warp fx is just a simple test, and there'll be something else:)
Well, it's really possible to use this kind of warp fx in HW2: just see the ST:Continuum MOD. That involves some work on the scripts and MADs\MADSTATEs. Right now I prefer using the original hyperspace fx in HW2:)
Ah yes. That's ture. I think this kind of heavy metallic skin textures with good specular reflection looks really well, and I'm still trying to express this kind of feeling:)
Well.. I think there're many design with two hangers on the side[not just in BSG as well]. That's a common structure and there's nothing to do with BSG:)
Well, that's the Voyager-X, an experimental space explorer with ultra high technology resulting its great speed and firepower. More information are coming 'soon':)
Recently I'm preparing for a CG animation competition and this is the CG version. I uploaded it since it will appear in future CGs of UXMOD. And I'll do a game version when time is right. This ship is just like the Nova class space explorer [see here: Moddb.com ]:)
