No, they use video files rendered on a 2 polygon model that is visible from both sides. They are prerendered and that is why they use older models minus the ingame cutscenes which is dependent on older model files. It would be easy to resolve this if the old models & the newer models were decompiled, mesh import the newer into the older and then rigging the mesh to the skeleton, & recompile it, that is pretty much it. But doing all that sounds easier than it actually is, I am not sure how to compile a model for SA2 I was looking it up when I came across this mod.

Mod is long since dead now actually... Hard drive with all the materials on it failed. Format failure due to a bad partition. The bios can't even tell what it is, so trying to retreive the information is very very difficult if I wanted it. Along with that the source code to several games I made are gone, and the sites they were on no longer exist... So that is fun.... Just came on to grab some pictures actually...

I had also made a level generator for the mod it was done with a series of files that just held data for a map. Each section was split up into its own file, where the batch file would select each part and merge them together. Meaning if you wanted a section of the map to be jungle themed and section of the map to be city themed you could. I had got this actually working but was not satisfied. I wanted to make a easy to use level editor just for my mod, I had drawn up concept art but never posted it because this was about the time I stopped working on it simply because the community was just that bad. I made tutorials on my level generator though.

The moddb community is actually one of the worst I have had to deal with. I had actually scraped a project because the community was just negative all the way to the point where no matter what I uploaded they bashed the crap out of it. Most of them where hypocrites, most of them lacked any content on mods they posted just concept art (most bad at that). Some even just did reviews and called themselves reviewers and wrote reviews on a mod not even in alpha, not even in prototype to what I wanted. More or less it was still in the concept stages, but small props where being made as I figured I wanted to make every last detail in the mod, I had nearly 100 props made, only about 10 textured, and planned on making 1000 more. Had 3 concept maps done, after getting them done wanted something entirely different. And the community bashed a just starting project to all hell, with only 1 developer (still better than most mods on that site where all they have is just text saved as images stating what they want). I had scrapped it too as soon as someone actually got back to me on wanting to work on it, I had to tell him I am not going to do it any more. Because the general concept was a good idea, its just bad story, which would have ended up bad even doing story since only 1 developer. And if you can't tell I am not a writter.

I get no error messages and its also on openjdk7 same issue. Java must hate me or something, taking a class on it too it gets annoying at times cause laptop only has windows in virtual box. going to try it in a vm of windows 7 on my ubuntu. Unforchently I noticed some performance issues are you think you could improve that?

list of sound issues: when npc's get stuck walking on hills (the big npcs)they make this weird noise; when their is multiple explosions going off at once some times the sound glitches and the explosion sound loops gets really loud and then dies off.

U can install gnome still on the new ubuntu's. I find gnome3 more annoying than unity though. I personally just set it to classic gnome. KDE is eh. rather keep it on gnome.

linux build on ubuntu 11.10 with openjdk6 crashes as soon as I press a button. Also noticing some sound issues on the windows build involving explosions. Yes I am able to play it but I would like to be able to play it on my linux os's aswell can anyone help?

Not worth it, it was made in game maker and it sucks, 1 death = restart game, only save feature is the default game maker save feature. And anyone can make a better game in game maker than this one. Only can hold 1 weapon at a time and frame rate issues from 1 enemy on screen when there is a infin amount of enemies respawning from off screen. Just out run the enemies its a easy enough game. Boss 2 is op as **** anyways.

Where is linux version damit. Why is it close beta not public beta? More bugs and issues are found and reported with a public beta than a private. (Yes I did buy the game, and can't play it cause no release for linux seems like false advertising to me.)

Well first we have to take away gabe newell's hamburger button off his desk, and then we have to hold it randsom for him to press the release linux ports button.

Why is my linux client build so very much different than my windows client build? Are they not keeping one or the other up to date?

takes much longer than a week to study and learn how to make a game cross platform from a small company, its not like the game is in java in which its basicly effortless to port it much like many games, that claim they do but have little to no support. I am assuming they either used C++ with directx api or C# with directx api and maybe possibly frame work incorperated into it. (its what most indie developers do, because its a short cut kinda.)

The source code is already released, but you have to find the place to download it, its under a general use liecences. But I can only find one source to download the source code from. Which for me the source is inconvient Github.com

Crashes on start up for me.... & yes I am playing it on a windows os... windows xp 64 bit, and yes my screen res goes up to 1280 x 800. It gives no errors just crashes.

Dam you I cant figure out the skeliton bone name for this model nor the animations and I spent years trying to find a source to make a player model from. Most of the ones I have seen are just reskins or protected from decompilers so no one can edit them, or see the actual bone names.

nope its put on hold because there is a better project I am working on. Along with college (getting in the way) possibly dead, depends on outcome of other projects, not posted on this site yet due to under development and still clustering of ideas. (last update on this mod was story needed changing massively inorder to be its own story rather then copying portals story line, garentee that it wont be a testchamber base which made alot of these people mad, a portal mod without test chambers that is obsered to them.)

mmm so your saying its ok for them to rate your game less then a m rated even though there is still those M rated materials such as the zombies and guns and killing and blood and gore? no the esrb would not rate it lower then a M because the materials are still there same reason they changed ratings on a few other games later on. Like gtasa is a A rating thanks to the developers hiding some a mini porn game in the game that could only be unlocked by hacking.

What is your major malfunction this mod you would have to pay people to play. Valve would probably much rather sell wally bear and the no ganger on steam then this hurl of garbage.

there was no programing involved I looked... there was just simple script work and that would only take seconds. There is a few custom materials that might have tooken a few minuets to hours. But those mateirals where not even needed for 1/2 of them. the map I recreated within minuets triggers and all. 25-30 days for something I could make in minuets to hours.... that is some ********

wrong the main reason for school shootings is because of your type of aditude assuming its bullying when the person could just be mentally unstable and or is not intelligent to comprehend that the world does not revolve around them. Also school shootings are nearly always linked to people who bullied not the ones who are the victims of their so called "bullying" because usually those "victims" of the "bullying" develop a immunity to insults and stupidity. They become less sensitive of what others think usually as well. A lot of times its also someone who is dieing anyways from a diese or something like that and they want to take out as many people as they can because they are mentally unstable. Maybe you should pull your head out of your *** and look at all of the evidence before making stupid statements pointing the figures at everyone else when really you know nothing about the situations, yes I have studied alot of them, most of the time its the "bully" who is usually trying to look "cool" or "hard".

lawlz that is so true... But I think the creators of it are some whiny babies because they assume every problem can be resolved the same and in manors that would never really work. More or less they are butt hurt cry babies and its a shame that this mod has ratings above 1 because the amount of effort to make this mod I could litterly do in less then a day. And mods that have been months into development to years get about equal ratings to this piece of garbage mod.... This mod is so bad. I can see the creator more then likely used sock pupet accounts to cry his way even more thumbs downing your comment till its burried so no one would reply.

This mod is bad not worth downloading, it breaks in the last test and all the answers are stupid. Its worse then what wally bear and the no ganger was trying to do. Anyone who supports it must be on drugs or victiems of self inflicting mental damage to think this is any good. Really for the most part it seems to me that the last test is nothing more then a butt hurt portion. There truly is no such thing as cyberbullying, you can not bully over the internet merely post your opinion that people do not agree with then cry butthurt tears from. more or less why would you make a anti-bullying mod.
