We're drawing a blank on the Quad-Cannon, but I think Six might be able to make on. (We're giving Flare a heavy gunner helmet to boot; So you can expect to see the CipQuad eventually) DC-15s will be included, you should see it later in the game (towards the PI.5 and PII section). Currently we're debating giving the MPs in the current level DC15s's or DC17's.

Of course. (Its the version I'm running, actually). ;) I don't know if it'll run from the launcher though, since I just use the .exe in the system folder. ;)

We would if we could, but Desura currently doesn't support SW: RC. As soon as it does, we'll upload it to Desura. ;)

If you're asking about when the final product is being release, its not going to be for a long time. If you're wondering when the next update/patch is 'gonna be, it'll be relatively soon. ;)

Sorry for the late response.

No, you don't need any special program to mod RC. UnrealEd (its in the gamedata\system folder) will work for most of your needs. You may need some accessory programs for more in depth work (things like Gimp, Photoshop, 3ds Max, and Blender are pretty good examples).

Wow, I just now saw all your comments. Sorry about the delay. :(

Black-Screen Issues:

Replace your GameData folder with the Backup Folder you made and reinstall the mod. If you didn't make a backup, try re-installing the mod without reverting your GameData folder to its original form. If problems persist, try re-installing the game. If problems still persist, send me a P.M. and I'll try to walk you through it personally.

Download issues:

If the file fails to download, I suggest you contact someone who has the mod and request that they send it to you, or try again on a different computer (FileFront can be iffy sometimes, and, alas, this is the only place we've uploaded the mod).

How to backup (Do this before installing the mod):

Step 1:
Open your SWRC root folder, its usually
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Republic Commando
Step 2:
Right-click > Create New Folder
Step 3:
Name the folder BACKUP
Step 4:
Right Click the GameData folder > Copy
Step 5:
Open the BACKUP folder
Step Six:
Right-click > Paste

Installation issues:
If the mod fails to install, re-download it and try again. If it still fails to install, shoot me a PM, and I'll try to walk you through it.

Hope this helps, and sorry for the delay in response. ;)

You can open them in UnrealEd (its in you system folder).

Helpful tips:
1) If UnrealEd crashes on start-up, boot up SWRC and set your bump-mapping detail to low. No idea why this happens, but its the only fix we've found.
2) UnrealEd may crash if you view bump-maps in the texture editor. There is absolutely no way around this. You can, however use the search-bar (type in _shader in the main screen, and it'll only display shaders, not bumpmaps).

Suffice to say, its a old, really broken program that Lucas Arts butchered the coding of. If you're running an older machine, you should be fine; it mainly runs into problems on Vista and Windows 7. If you hit any snags, or just need a tutorial, or even want to complain about its shortcomings, we'll be happy to help. ;)

These guys won't be featured on Coruscant (if we do a Coruscant map, we'll use the Clone Shock Troopers, like Knight208 said). They're for a different urban-style map.

Sure. Franz is the genius with auto-installers, so I'll make sure he makes one with the full 3.0. As for manually installing the mod, here's a quick tutorial.

Step 1: Open the .ZIP file
Step 2: Double-Click ARC mod 3.0
Step 3: Select (click and drag the cursor over) all five of the folders that appear.
Step 4: Navigate to your GameData folder, its usually
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData
Step 6: Drag the folders from the .ZIP file into the GameData folder
Step 7: You will now be prompted to merge the folders with the existing folders. Check the "Do this for all current items" box, then click Yes
Step 8: You will now be prompted to move and replace, don't move, or move and keep both files. Again, check the "Do this for all current items" box, and click Move and Replace.

Download the files, and drop them into your Game-Data folder (make a backup of the folder first) and you're all set. After that, just launch the game like normal, and the modifications will show up.
