The A.I wont work on fortress maps, because we would have to program a new A.I for every fortress map, which is very time consuming and the results also are not that good, since it is nearly impossible to say the A.I not to attack. But the A.I should work on every map that comes with the mod, so it should do something on every map. Custom maps often dont work, because the A.I needs to be added to the map, the A.I wont work if the creator did not add the edain A.I.

Sounds like a download error. Redownload the mod and the installer should work.
Did you click on save after changing something. Could also be that you need to edit specialpower.inC instead of .ini. The mods changed parameters are in there.

Well, I cant give an exact answer on that. If I find the time to code an updating system for the mod then the switcher will run the update. At this moment I prefer the installer, since it is a lot easier to run the extracting and copying part via an installer.
Edit: Just another reminder: since all files will be changed in version 4.0, the download size of both versions would exactly be the same ;)

You can simply use the worldbuilder, all units and buildings from the mod are automatically added.
Just download the mod and run the setup. The switcher will be installed with the mod. Then click on "nach updates suchen" and then "Switcher Update herunterladen", you will then get the newest Version of the switcher, which also has english Text.

The Mod has a launcher, the "Edain Mod Switcher", you can disable and enable the mod with this tool. But it is not recommended to use the mod with another mod, which the unofficial patch actually is.
