What's your exact problem. The Launcher works fine if you do everything correct.
You know that these readressing tools harm more than they are helping? Let Windows do the job itself, it can do it the best.
Simply try again.
Click ok. The file will be downloaded from another server and the download should work then.
No. The mod can only compatible with the official patch or the unofficial, not both at the same time. 2.02 is also just another mod, not a patch! So we stick with the official one for sure, since we do not want that our users need to download unofficial patches to play the mod.
Yeah, thats definitely not the error message. Show that one to us and we might be able to help.
There is no steam version of the game.
Check for updates again. Gondor, Rohan, Isengard, Mordor, Dwarves and Lothlorien should be available. Also try checking your virtual store for the electronic arts folder and delete it if it exists.
Well, seems like that savegame got corrupted. Start a new game.
Do you have the latest version of the Launcher? As said, it is switching servers if you click ok on the time out message. If both get these errors then it clearly is an issue with your connection and not with our servers
Well then this is clearly a problem with your computer and not the mod. You definitely have the correct files then :D
Could be that Windows put files in your virtual store which it is loading instead of the correct ones. Check this path: C: \ Users \ Username \ AppData \ Local \ VirtualStore \ Program File
If there is an Electronic Arts folder. Delete the Electronic Arts folder there if it exists.
If your Launcher says that you have all the updates installed, then the correct files exist in the correct path. You most likely moved the folders after installing or something like this so that the registry strings don't direct to the correct path so that the game isn't loading the files. Simply reinstalling Edain and Rise of the Witchking (important: with the official setup! So that the correct registry strings are made) will fix your problem.
Well, simply press okay and the server will be switched. It should work fine then.
Its just checking if the download is ok.
Post the exact error message and the log.
Yeah, just try that.
No. One file of 250 MB, one of 210 MB, one of 95 MB, one of 1,5 MB and two of 0,5 MB. But the last two should be shown as 1 MB and the 1,5 as 2 MB. Six files in total.
So, next wave is open.
Yep, there are 3 files which are between 0,5 and 2 MB.
Nothing to fix, works as intended. Downloads are currently closed to decrease the load of our server. The downlaods are handed out in waves. So you just need to wait for the next and final wave.
No, it doesnt mean that. Just wait a bit. ;)
So I just closed the second wave to speed up the download of the ones downloading a bit, but it seems to run more or less smooth now. I'll open again for the next wave in around 15-30 minutes and then hopefully leave it open.
Start once and thats it. There might be a timout with an error message, you have to click on ok there to change to another server.
No, it should not.
Close it with the task manager and try again.
No. The mod needs to be installed.
No. There should be 6 files. But simply start the download and search again afterwards.
What? Simply close the Launcher through the windows task manager. Its not that hard.
So, next wave has started.
To everyone with problems: try searching for updates again. There most likely was a file missing or a file that got damaged during the download because of the server load.
You most likely got a damaged file through the heavy load of our servers. Try searching for updates again later.
