Here is the list, total of over 700 files.
As reported multiple times: the dwarven AI currently leads to laggs. We are going to fix that with the next update. Also the Gondor AI tends to crash the game.
And btw: like all of the big, successful mods from which you stole content were created even before 2010. Our team is celebration a 10 years aniversary next year, Battle for Numenor was released just after RotWK, so in late 2006. The latest version of RJ early 2009. So all the mods from which you stole content came before your mod.
Are you kidding me? First of: I am a member of the Edain team. So you can see this as an official request. I can send you a PM with the exact message if you really want.
If you dont use the files then why don't you delete them? It is saving up space and no one is gonna get hurt.
Using stuff from mods because they are dead is NO reason to do it. What a stupid reasoning. Or are you also stealing books from the store because they were released 50 years ago and the author is already dead?
Also the time reasoning is stupid. Doing something wrong a long time does NOT make it right.
The palantiri ARE exclusive to Edain. Everyone using them without permission is stealing them. That is a fact. If you do not believe me that we created them, just look at our main page ( Modding-union.com ). It is using EXACT the same style as the good factions palantir.
And again: If deleting our stuff is not going to effect the mod then just do it and everything is fine.
I just saw that you used the Edain palantir in your screens and videos. We never gave the permission to you to use them. I then downloaded the mod and checked your assets. There are tons of assets from Edain, my old mod Battle for Numenor, RJ and multiple others. At least for the first two I can say for sure that you did not get the permission to use those. You didn't even give credit for them. So please delete those assets from your mod with the next update or we will contact the moddb admins to look into this issue.
Good to see that mods are still using sind of my old models, but please do not forget to give credit. ;)
Last thing to try if you havent already would have been the compatibility mode. I am going to Upgrade to Windows 10 on my gaming computer next week, so if I receive the same error and I find a solution i am going to PM you. ;)
This problem is not related to the bug fixed in this patch. Maybe your CD is just to scratched?
Its EAs copy protection that kills you. If you are using a crack, an image or something like that to start the game without the CD in your CD drive: dont do it.
Not really an alternative since there is like one driver available for Windows 10 at the moment. I honestly have no idea. Maybe try to run the game in window mode. You can set it also in the launcher settings.
Intel released a driver update like 2 months ago which leads to crashes in BFME 2. This update propably got installed with Windows 10, so that might be the cause of your problem.
Are you using a laptop with a Nvidia graphics card + Intel graphics chip? If so make sure the game (lotrbfme2ep1.exe and game.dat) is launched with the NVidia graphics card and not the Intel graphics chips, since these tend to crash the game.
No, our servers are fine. As said multiple times: the launcher is checking if its online through pinging events. If the launcher can not connect to the internet even though you are only then something is blocking pinging events. It as simple as this.
This error occurs through a missing options INI, run my startup fixxer or fix a non starting game in the launcher to create the correct file.
Did you install the graphics card driver yourself after upgrading or not? It is better to do it yourself, since the drivers delivered via Windows Update are often very old.
Did you install your graphics card driver after updating to Windows 10? It is necessary. If that still is not helping try reinstalling the game. Upgrading a OS can also lead to damaged programs, so that that might help.
Install DirectX 9.0c and Microsoft c++ Redistructable, both are not installed with Windows 10 directly but are necessary to play the game. You should be able to find both on your game dvd.
Thanks! There really seems to be an issue here, we are going to look into it.
Who said that?
First of all: Things like "gaming laptops" are marketing words and do not exist. It may be a powerfull laptop, but serious gaming is only possible on desktop PCs.
Another thing is that the game can only use one thread. So only one processor core will get used by the game. You therefore need a processor with a high single core power to handle the game fine. Modern processors tend to have a good multi core performance but the single core performance did not increase that much in the last 5-8 years, it also tended to decrease since multi core performance is more usefull today. So: It is quite possible that the game is not running that smooth, even if you have a powerful quadcore processor or similiar.
Make sure the AI did not play the dwarves, which could cause lagg. I honestly do not know what kind of lagg you experienced, but it looks like it is related to your connection. If you are using Tunngle to play together, make sure to go in an empty network beforehand or the game will lagg as soon as there are more than 10-15 people in your network.
This means something is blocking pinging on your computer, propably your firewall or anti virus or your router itself. Make sure pinging is allowed and it should be able to connect.
Nothing went wrong. New textures and w3d files are added to the __edain_data.big to keep the download small.
Could you provide a screenshot what texture you think looks less detailed?
Open the launcher, click on update and search for updates.
4.1 has been available for a month already.
Don't play against Dwarven AI and wait for the hotfix.
Look at the post above. Open the launcher, go to Update and search for updates.
