Since I will be working at my placement 4 the course, I will be posting on Sundays until it's over. On Thursday, EA began Tacitus Thursdays, in which they revealed a video and some art for the Scrin Mechapede unit. This TT thing will run until the game ships(Kane's Wrath). A teaser image has appeared @ commandandconquer.com, which promises something coming this thursday(02/14). I started playing The Movies again and I'm having fun. I also played through Halo again(I got it post X-mas @ Staples Business Depot for $19.95). I keep forgetting to look for the Thirsty grunt in The Maw. In some other news, Resident Evil 5 is in the works. It's set in Africa and will probably feature zombies and Los Plagas forms. I am posting today because my placement supervisor is away. We also had a snow day last Thursday, so I shoveled driveways and what not. It just occurred to me that the secret being revealed by EA on Feb 14 will probably be related to Tacitus Thursdays. Anyhoo, EA announced another LOTR game is in the works, so we'll see what it's about eventually. CNC Reborn, the Shooter set in Tiberian Sun, is supposed to come out this month. If you swing by Fanfiction.net, search for the user Peptuck and read his Tiberium Wars story(it's a remake of the published one), which has just had Ch. 7 added to it. Nick "Havoc" Parker makes an appearance in an earlier chapter. I also started playing Splinter Cell again, seeing as how it's fun to see enemies knock themselves out. I still don't know why they do that, but it happens in the Mouk Tsou Boe level(the meat plant). Another important note, The GunRun has finished and uploaded version 2.7 of his mod, C&C Retarded, which is the last version of the mod for Tiberium Wars. I also got a replacement MP3 PLayer @ XS Cargo almost 2 weeks ago. It is working great, but that's probably because I haven;t let my sister on my computer while it's plugged in. It has all the features my last one had(FM Radio, Voice Recorder, video player/jpeg viewer). EA is also conducting a survey on what you think of Battlecast Primetime, so if you watch it, go fill it out online. I recently began to have problems with SAGE engine games. The cursor would flicker/disappear. This was solved 2 days ago thanks to EA forums member Offsprng89 *Infantry cheer*. Anyways, Battlecast Primetime Episode 6 was released late last week, so you can go check it out at the site. I was disappointed to learn that they cut 25 mins from it in exchange for the extra 5 from last months episode. Upon visiting EAW Files, I found that the latest version of the FOC Addon mod I mentioned last week was, in fact, v3.5. I added some new maps to Star Wars Battlefront 2 and I've had fun playing them(Wampas are cool!!). One in particular, Ancient Research Facility, is a favourite because it has Hero Assault and Hunt. The Acklay scares me though, especially when playing the Felucia mission *shivers*. I did take one down completely without having to respawn, so that was pretty good for me(Droids snuck up behind me soon afterwards, BAM!!). I never encountered Nexu(furry animal on Geonosis in Attack Of The Clones), but I did get eaten by a Rancor more than once. It looks like my mod is dead, because I haven't heard from CA in almost a month(3 days to go!). Yesterday was my parent's anniversary, so we went to the Crock & Block for dinner on Saturday. I went with my mother to see Cloverfield, since we wanted to see it. It was the best movie I've seen this year. I would recommend it to people. But be warned, it can cause Vertigo/motion sickness.

Well, exams are pretty much over for me. My last one is today and I've got some stuff to share. First, let's go back to 2004 when I found a very good mod for Star Wars Empire At War: Forces Of Corruption. It's probably still available @ Filefront and it's called the FOC Addon(I have v3.5), but I know it by the name Z3R0X. It adds plenty of stuff and makes the gameplay much more exciting. I particularly liked crushing the Yuuzhan Vong as the Empire, although that doesn't make too much sense, as they Empire died out long before they even appeared. I also recently pre-ordered Kane's Wrath, the expansion for Tiberium Wars. I purchased a 4GB USB drive for $29.99 @ a local electronics store. My Coby MP3 Player stopped working, and the replacement has refused to even turn on. I have an idea of who wrecked it(you know who you are, Amanda!!), but until I do know I'm blaming it on gremlins. BCPT Episode 6 debuts this Friday, so go over to commandandconquer.com for it. C&C fans like me were recently treated to gameplay footage of the upcoming Shooter game, Tiberium, on GametrailersTV Episode 1, which can be viewed(but not downloaded) @ gametrailers.com. Lastly, my cousin Darren had his 4th birthday yesterday and he, his sister and the others got a chance to go to the local Retro-Planet. I must go now, as my sis Amanda(#@!%) is watching the fellowship of the ring(extended edition) and I figure I should pay attention to it(especially the secret scene on a disk). A teaser image was posted on the CNC Reborn site stating that the Brotherhood will rise again in Feburary. I hope that this means it will have a beta released next month. Last Friday, Gametrailers.com added a trailer for the upcoming C&C fps, Tiberium. You can either watch it or download it(it comes in HD and Reg. Definition). It reveals a new kind of Tiberian life, a small crablike animal. EA is supposed to release info about the Scrin subfactions this month(the ones in Kane's Wrath), even though information about them was released in December when the NDA for the community summit expired. Command School Episode 4 was released and you can watch it at commandandconquer.com or download it. Also, I recently discovered, much to my dismay(and horror) that my PC doesn't have a PCI-Express slot. Now that I've finally located my info, I'll add it. The Family Guy Blue Harvest special was released last week. 4 those of you who don't know, it's essentially a Star Wars special with FG characters. Bravo has started showing the older episodes of Law & Order, so if you like the series watch 'em(but you won't see Van Buren or McCoy or Connie). In CSI MIami last week, Horatio's son was declared Not Guilty because the victim had disappeared. We also met his mother, Julia. I can't read the other info, but It's 4 Law & Order SVU and CSI. You can look it up on Wikipedia.

Well, here we are. Another week, another update. I finished collecting the Star Wars Thrawn trilogy yesterday when I bought the last two books in it. I had bought the first book almost 2 weeks ago. I also renewed my Irewards card, so i got some coupons. One of which is a 2 for 1 at the cineplex odeon, so I'm going to see Cloverfield with my mother after it comes out since she wants to see it(and me too!). In some good news, Kane(Joe Kucan's character in the Command & Conquer franchise) made the 3rd spot on a list of 15 most badass bald guys. You can visit Planet CNC for a link to the actual list, which includes the Kingpin(from Marvel comics) and the Hitman guy(I don't know his name). Vietnam Glory Obscured v1.0 is now available for download, it's a mod for C&C Generals Zero Hour and It looks pretty good. I plan on giving it a try when I'm done playing C&C Shockwave v0.95. I sent CA a message, but I haven't heard from her yet. The Lion over @ cncdeb has some new C&C stuff, including two new wallpapers and a map for C&C 3 based off The Alamo, a Red Alert 2 map. So you can go there and have a look. I am currently looking for character models for the movies who look like my fave anime characters. I asked Aaron "APOC" Kaufmann about releasing the C&C TV Aftermath short in Quicktime video format so I can watch it offline. I have yet to hear from him. I also recently learned that the Tiberium fps is using the Unreal 3 engine.

So now I'm back in school and having fun. I've got 2 projects to hand in soon. If any of you are interested, EALA has released episode 5 of BattleCast PrimeTime, which features the GDI epic unit(the MARV). I did some babysitting over the holidays and I was in Toronto on Saturday. I was able to find two books I was looking for. They were a novelization of Halo and Star Wars: Heir to the Empire, which is part of the Thrawn trilogy. For more info on him, visit Wookiepedia, the Star Wars Wiki. In other news, the Shockwave mod team is recruiting, so visit their site. PPM has changed their look and their sidebar is easier to use.(it expands and collapses) Coreangel has just released V1.5 of her mod, Kane's revenge. I plan to try it soon. I was recently hired for a babysitting job after school, so it's sure to be fun!! In last week's Naruto chapter, Sasuke stabbed Itachi! It looks like he'll fulfill his dream(his goal), etc. As for the upcoming C&C FPS, it actually is supposed to be using the UNREAL 3 Engine. This is not confirmed however. I did not get the job, however. As for the BCPT episode 5, it is not double the normal length because it's only 45 mins long. That means that they only added 5-6 mins to the regular length.(APOC @#!&#xin;g screwed us again!!) Corner Gas has resumed airing the new episodes for season 5, the first of which I've already seen. I won't spoil it for those Americans down south, but it is set in Canada you know!(Saskatchewan, to be more precise)

Well, christmas has come and gone. A few things have happened since then. I got the Bourne Ultimatum dvd for christmas, so we now have all three Bourne movies. Music World's sale is still going on, but they've almost been stripped to the bone(in terms of merchandise). I bought Corner Gas Season 2 on boxing day, so I now have the whole set(except season 5 which is still airing up here). I also got a Logitech G5 Laser mouse on boxing day for $40.00 @ Future Shop(hallelujah!!). I also got World In Conflict and Star Wars Battlefront 2 for 19.99 apiece(FutureShop had a sale on their regular copies of WIC, so I saved $30). I also got some clothes for christmas, a $50 bill from an employer, a stocking full of sweets and about $40 in tips from my newspaper customers. Ialso acquired a copy of the movies, and I have to say, it is AWESOME!! If you're playing the Empire At War expansion, Phoenix Rising(a mod here) has hit v1. My sister got a couple of volumes of Naruto(the ones that start off Sasuke leaving for the Sound vilage). I've had fun playing SWB2 and The Movies over the holidays. Music World is the second store to close in a mall here this millenium, the first one was Hy & Zels.

So, here we are on the eve of Christmas. The Hunter has released V0.95 of the Shockwave mod for C&C Generals Zero Hour. It does work with the First Decade version, so TFD owners can rejoice. It adds a lot of new toys to play with and fixes several bugs. I like to play around with the USA Shatterer Tank(yes, it's like the one in Kane's Wrath, but the weapon has different animations), the Enforcer Tank, the new exo-suit(think Wolverine from TS combined with RA2 IFV) and the Carrier Hornet Strike. It can be downloaded here @ ModDB or at C&C Files. This version was originally supposed to be released in January, but they gave us a grreat present for the holidays. :) :) I'll be uploading my mod soon for C&C 3 and I plan to get a 500 Gig external hard drive from Future Shop during the sale(it's available for $99.99. Some of our DVDs have disappeared, so we're suspecting one of our renters here(my parents rent out two rooms upstairs). As you might expect, some (expletive) is going to be flying his way soon. I haven't heard anything abut the WGA strike, so we won't see it ending anytime soon.

EA has given a press release about the new C&C squad based FPS tiberium. It may be using the CRY engine 2. It takes place 11 years after TW III and begins at the Threshold in Italy(the Scrin tower).  You play as Ricardo Vega, a GDI soldier. Tiberium will be available in Fall 2008 for the PS3 , the Xbox 360, and of course, the PC(probably DVD-ROM). The game hasn't been rated by the ESRB, but it will probably be rated M, judging by the site(www.tiberium.com).

This is the last week of school for me and I get two weeks of holidays. The NDA for the Kane's Wrath summit ended today, so check any C&C fan sites for info about Kane's wrath goodies. GDI's epic unit sounds like the best so far. CoreAngel is currently finishing up the mod, so I'll upload it when I can. We got a snowstorm yesterday and buses were cancelled today. CNCNZ has a video podcast RE: Kane's Wrath, so check it out!! MusicWorld is still closing, so I got American Dad Vol. 2 for about $28. TW Advanced released a new version recently as well, so those of ya who have C&C 3 can DL it from FileFront or here @ModDB. I've got no news concerning the WGA strike, so it's probably still going on. Looks like someone got framed for the woman's death on CSI last week and Warrick got suspended. For all you Naruto Shippuuden fans out there, this week's episode is an hour-long special, which proves that anime multi-episode specials still live to this day.
