Yes, it's still a wip though.
It is an amber hue due to it being dusk. There is a green aura that is only visible closer up and when it's darker atmospherically.
This is an unedited first person perspective taken at ground level with the fov increased from default 75 to 90.
thank you :)
...that sure is a rather big Eagle...
Yeah, I can do that if you don't mind my perspective.
For the record though, I've been working on my own esps and have changed things up quite a bit to help portray mainstream LotR...
(Moddb comments are broken)
Middle-earth has such a lengthy time-line, 100 year old trees are just juveniles...
Yes, it's just out of frame, there's a small waterfall on the right...
It's a sunny midday image near the Elven Kings Hall...
I could have chosen a pitch black time of night during a thunderstorm, but ALL detail would have been lost. ;)
That's only one of many, I'll upload some very nice smaller black ones soon.
It's Ered Luin, south. The Gulf of Lune is at its base.
- facing the setting Sun and polished bronze, it's very realistic.
Well, if you're familiar with ME and this UI, you'll see that it's much less than 1/4 of what's typically shown. It's really big, the max. in fact!
MERP is essentially 7 times the size. ;)
Thanks, clarity should be very good, regardless of no ambient lights. I actually added the campfire to increase visibility and it's a clear night with a partial Moon too!
All details should be visible.
I'll check the image on a 3'rd party pc tomorrow, it's supposed to be very dark because its 2AM, but all details are entirely visible to me. Anyone else? This would mean all my images are inherently dark and this is not good.
(100% in-game image) Everything present should still be quite visible, including my character on the bough. ;)
There won't be a fast travel option like TES4 in the future, so waypoints are highly unlikely. We're focusing on realism and jumping around in our game just isn't appropriate.
Texture size needs to be set to large in MERP.
I'm a scenic landscape junkie...I actually took 5 images from this location, all with different weather types. This one was the prettiest imho. :)
Thanks! But this how my game actually looks. :)
HDR is enabled, HDR weather mod, game brightness turned way down, texture mods, ini changes and display settings adjusted to my tastes etc.
Just one crazy little white bunny for now ;)
There was never any mention of the absence of trees in the time of the LotR.
The movies are not lore accurate.
Trees grow quite quickly compared to the time-line of ME...and add nice details as well!
This is the ferry at Bucklebury.
My camp in the Trollshaws...
Aragorn and my character don't always get along. :D
It's a shot from the northern side of The Gulf of Lune looking towards the Blue Mountains.
There are literally thousands of Cattails and the Brandywine is beautiful. If I remember correctly this was taken near Bywater...
Nobody was home so I left a note to a friend. ;)
I actually had to turn the grass of as it was in need of some 'gardening' :D
Nope, Ethir Anduin. It's the mouth of the Anduin.
Yep, a port city near the mouth of the mighty Anduin.
oops, I forgot to enable all the insects :(
Very dark, especially if it's overcast.
Sorry, friend, as it seems you never received my PM request. I'll release the image floodgates...
You're going to have to ask my permission from now on if you wish to use my present and future images for MERP promotional purposes.
My PM was apparently ignored...
Nope, just not implemented yet ;)
Absolutely, good call!
Yeah, she was cold and lonely in version 0.2.4b...
The comments seem to be buggy at this time, my response posts were going random...
Oh well, please delete...this one will self destruct in 24 hours!
I like this perspective, the noble Ents deserve getting some 'wood' sooner or later ;)
It will be well worth the wait for the new content alone! :)
You could have posted your specific data info on NEXUS with your other questions that I answered, or PM'd me...
Yes, and it does. You just can't see it well from this angle. And of course it's beta.
I think your rig is good to go but you wont need hardly any of your mods for MERP though. Just disable them and keep your environmental ones to make things look nicer than the vanilla TES4 resources. Have you tried any of the fps boosters? As I mentioned in an earlier post my rig is just a laptop with only a 9600M GT and with a ton of resource hog mods and I get decent (25 fps) at all max settings except in the un-optimized, at this time, most demanding areas such as Mirkwood (which is awesome).
I'm playing on a new laptop with a Core 2 Duo P6600 with 4Gigs RAM and a 9600M GT(512MB). There are a bunch of easy to install mods that drastically improve the graphics and FPS. Doing a half dozen or so ini changes really helps too! I can actually run at MAX settings with HDR even in the most demanding areas at around 15 or so FPS. Not exactly great but I can always turn of things like all the shadows, grasses and LOD and get 25+:these areas have not been optimized yet either. For the record my game content has ALOT of extra/demanding textures.
Captain_Iglo is correct with his perspective. Renay, have you been there? As everything can not be on scale due to the limitations we have...this representation is quite appropriate and extremely well executed by a very renowned modder.
This was taken above Rivendell, towards High Pass...
If you download the mod and go to ~cow middleearth 46,53 you'll basically arrive at a Goblin Camp. As C_I stated this is in the Misty Mountains, but more specifically The Coldfells...
She, is in the tower crouching down trying avoid the camera. ;P
Failure is not an option and patience is a virtue are two adages that come to mind. Stay tuned!
The chest is not in Chorrol, it's at Minas Tirith. If you're expecting a large treasure trove of MERP stuff right now, you may be disappointed. Only a potential taste is available presently.
Hey, we all have different perspectives to share.
PS- did you spot my pc hiding?
Looks good to me! But you spelled access incorrectly :P
I'll state the obvious and mention I added something like 30 images to the mod page.
...and a decent bow as well as many good arrows that you should always try to recover...
the death to any foolish spiders
...Strider is sleeping at their original nearby campsite, she's 'borrowed' his sword but is foolishly without her powerful bow and deadly arrows.
These are two examples of five available colourations of the the Ithilien Ranger armors by Kelen_Stardragon.
I personally added some variables such as different hooded cloaks versus the 3 different capes and some black boots on the female.
The armor pieces you're concerned about do have said embellishments and the colouration 'issue' is a matter of opinion as TINTFM. :)
Just a little fyi, the reference images you linked were used as reference in the creation of this set.
Seriously though I'm tweaking the ini to help render the mountains at this distance, with only limited success for now.
Presently there are five different colour variations.
Taken about 7AM, the time of day and weather type are definitely factors involved.
It looks even 'better' around midday, but I prefer the sunrise.
There are so many variables.
Being stealthy and smart has it's advantages...
Likely, as we already have the models, scaled to MERP of course.
Scale armor is far more common than (chain) mail as it's inherently very easier to fabricate, by design.
I've actually made my own personal set of armor, better than both by far.
Actually its only partially in the Anduin. Most river levels vary greatly year round and trees are quite often "growing out of the water". ;)
Yes, yes, no/yes! :)
The only thing dead in the water at this time was our dinner!
Sorry, couldn't resist :D
Sorry C_I but this one is Dale, at the foot of Erebor, the Lonely Mountain. :)
Nope, it's just below Weathertop. :p
The terrain there is awesome!
I took the image just outside of The Shire, facing The Blue Mountains
