I have to reload and update my rather large and complicated Oblivion data folder (30+GB), and yes I still play new TES4 mods simultaneously with MERP.
I'll continue to update the images but much more frequently and the content/quality will be a lot better for sure.
Thanks for all the nice comments and of course stay tuned to MERP.
That trebuchet is full-sized, so the scale is there even with reality scaling issues.
These are two examples of five available colourations of the the Ithilien Ranger armors by Kelen_Stardragon.
I personally added some variables such as different hooded cloaks versus the 3 different capes and some black boots on the female.
The armor pieces you're concerned about do have said embellishments and the colouration 'issue' is a matter of opinion as TINTFM. :)
Just a little fyi, the reference images you linked were used as reference in the creation of this set.
This is an unedited first person perspective taken at ground level with the fov increased from default 75 to 90.
thank you :)
...that sure is a rather big Eagle...
Seriously though I'm tweaking the ini to help render the mountains at this distance, with only limited success for now.
I have an old & basic tutorial on the dev. forums but it's outdated and I'm working on the new one.
Everyone should get to enjoy a much better atmospheric experience in MERP than TES4. :)
Due to the size magnification of the image this may seem so but is not the case as they are very small in game.
Very little to nothing is final at this point, I should probably add WIP to the title, thanks for the input though.
24 more images are scheduled for this weekend, consisting of WIPs, new landscapes and MERP themed: 8 of each.
Some of them are quite nice...
Everything available for v0.2.4a is totally playable.
You may have overlooked the MiddleEarth.esm that's only available presently via the mirror on TESNexus. Load order is important and please read some of the many comment posts on above said site, then all will be good.
Thanks, yes and soon.
The Rammas Echor will be present as well as farms and crops etc, it's a WIP. ;)
Nope, it won't be changed, just added to.
Yeah, I can do that if you don't mind my perspective.
For the record though, I've been working on my own esps and have changed things up quite a bit to help portray mainstream LotR...
(Moddb comments are broken)
Dev Members...more than 40!
Some are much more active/prolific than others though. ;)
Yeah, the comment system here is totally broken.
This response was not intended to be here...
Middle-earth has such a lengthy time-line, 100 year old trees are just juveniles...
This 'little' one is about 4 feet across...
Perspective/depth of field are factors. ;)
The creator will now be watching you...
You're in luck!
We have a sizable literature sub-team...
Presently there are five different colour variations.
Ouch, bite your tongue! :)
Yeah, I've got this feedback before. User display settings or age/condition are the issue apparently. I've checked my images on a number of 3'rd party rigs without issue.
Hey, it's supposed to be very dark/atmospheric/immersive. ;)
Maybe three, or so...
Good thing though that we're apx. 2 years into it regarding the adoption of LPs heightmap and all the recent contributors are very prolific. ;)
Middle-Earth is by nature, a beatific world.
If you'd prefer to hang out in the gloom, there's always Mordor...
That investment would be very smart, there is no comparison between the two.
I played TES4 on the 360 when both were released and was always so envious of the incredible mods as they came out. Buying a $500 360 and $80 game was a total waste of money for me.
As there are so many awesome adventure mods already available on sites such as here and TESNexus you would get incredible entertainment value for your money.
Get it! :)
There's over 20,000 TES4 mod files on TESNexus alone...
Yes, it's just out of frame, there's a small waterfall on the right...
Taken about 7AM, the time of day and weather type are definitely factors involved.
It looks even 'better' around midday, but I prefer the sunrise.
It's a sunny midday image near the Elven Kings Hall...
I could have chosen a pitch black time of night during a thunderstorm, but ALL detail would have been lost. ;)
