What do you mean by Unity pack? The assets? All the trees and plants besides the dead pines and dead oaks are Unity standard assets, everything else I made myself.

Thanks for actually writing something intelligent about this and not just saying "not a game"! I think that's a very valid point and a good critique, though I'm not sure I agree.

What "game" do you think it needed? I found the minimalism of Katabasis to be a necessary approach to the themes, so I'm interested to hear what you think I could have done.

I think taking a "game" oriented approach would have directly undermined much of what I was going for. I had originally planned on having puzzles and other game-y elements, but they were only distracting and put the player in the wrong mindset.
I wrote about this on my blog when I finally decided to take out all the game elements: Tylersnell.wordpress.com

It's hard to say.. Some people seem to think it's very scary while others not at all. I never really set out to make a horror game, though. I wanted it to be about experiencing that sublime feeling of being in the face of something much bigger than you, something that you can't understand. So, my intent at least was to make it more about plodding dread and getting under the player's skin.

Are you sure you're downloading 1.1, not 1.0?
I took down the downloads of 1.0, since I realized most people were still downloading that one and getting the major bug at the end.
Just today I realized that links on freeindiegame.es (and thus Rock Paper Shotgun) are direct to 1.0, is that how you're trying to download?

Just saw this comment, sorry! Could you give me more details? What exactly isn't working?

Thanks!
Unfortunately, I think I'm done with this project. I'm really excited about my newer ideas, and after spending so much time focusing on this I'm definitely ready to move on. Right now I'm getting pretty deep into a new project, which isn't horror, but will have a similar mood.
It'd be while, but I would like to do other things within the context of this story, though.

Thanks for playing it, and for commenting!
It was actually a boy, and you play his father. No, he wasn't the wolf.
The drawings in red on the rocks are intended to give hints about the strange man and what he's up to. My intent was that the stones would sort of a tell a story.
He's (part of) the third element in the "father, a son, and ancient gods."
