The problems with the audio in the trailer here are due to the way it has been encoded by Desura. Take a look at the YouTube version: Youtube.com
It's not a "5 second fix" and is not present in the actual game. However, I'll see if uploading the trailer with a different audio format will help.
Thank you! :)
I've had a few requests for setting the windowed resolution. I'll add it to the next patch.
I'll see what I can do regarding the mouse/keyboard control scheme, but it's tricky to get 360° aiming without the use of the mouse. The game is best played with a controller if you have one.
Hi, sorry for not replying sooner. I'm glad you got it sorted.
You're very welcome! :)
Hi, sorry for not replying sooner.
You will have the option of increasing the difficulty level by spending the tokens that you collect.
The new system will work in such a way that the game will rarely feel too easy (maybe at the starting "base" rank, for the more skilled players). I'll have more details soon.
Thanks! Version 1.3.5 is now live!
Thank you! :)
Patch notes for version 1.3.4 have been posted on the Forum.
First major free DLC outlined: Dieharddungeon.wordpress.com "Evolving the Formula!"
Hmm, that's strange! There aren't any major changes that would cause it to crash. Does the game start at all? It may be that one of the files has become corrupt. Have you tried the DRM free version?
There's more content than can be seen from a single playthrough at the moment, but not as much as I'd like. I think you will really like the first content patch I have planned! A news article will be posted here within the next week, outlining the proposed additions / changes. Replayability is something that will be increased massively! In fact, the fist content patch is all about tackling the issue of replayability. Stay tuned! :)
Yeah, It's something I've wanted to change for a while I've got a couple of ideas that I'm experimenting with that I hope to include in an upcoming patch. Thanks for the comment! :)
As I continue to add more and more content, the need for some sort of manual or guide is definitely increasing, so it's something I plan to create. I'll probably start a wiki or something :)
Yes, within hours of the Indie Royale Debut 2 Bundle ending, the game will be available to purchase here.
I'm currently working on a solution to detect the players keyboard layout and map the keys correctly. This should fix the issue for non-qwerty layouts. Full key remapping is something that will take longer, but It's something I would like to include in the near future.
A patch (v1.3.2) has been submitted and is awaiting verification by the Desura team.
- The game will no longer crash after 'Play' is selected if using a desktop resolution above 1920 * 1200.
- The game will no longer crash upon startup if Windows Media Player has been uninstalled / deactivated (note: music will not play). Alternative methods of music playback are being looked at.
XNA using WMP behind the scenes for music playback was not something I was aware of until very recently.
I'm not happy about the situation at all, as the last thing I wanted to do was force end users to install a piece of software they had intentionally removed.
I will be looking into alternatives for music playback.
Hi, I don't believe your issue is related to resolution. It's most likely to do with Windows Media Player failing to play the starting music, either because it's disabled or removed. Please look at the Troubleshooting thread in the forum by clicking the link above.
Hi, I'll be including options for configuring controls in a patch.
Thanks! There definitely seems to be an issue with high resolution monitors and the in-game scaling. As soon as I've fixed the problem, I'll upload a patch.
Hi, I'm looking into a few different ways of supporting non-qwerty layouts. Either re-binding keys, or switching between different layouts in the options menu. It's definitely something that will be patched in.
I appreciate you taking the time to post this. Could you please tell me what your desktop resolution is? Thanks.
I'll look into the problem. So the game was displaying ok in fullscreen until you tried to start a new game? The main menu looked ok? Could you try changing your desktop resolution to something lower like 1920 * 1080 and then trying to play in fullscreen again?
Just trying to isolate the problem.
I've added a Troubleshooting post to the forum (link above). Please go to the Bugs and Glitches sub forum if you are encountering problems with running the game.
Hi, there was an issue with the standalone filename conflicting that has been fixed and a new version uploaded. I'm just waiting for Desura to verify the file, and then it will be avilable to download. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi, does it show anything at all when you attempt to run the game?
Hi, are you referring to the DRM free standalone download or the Desura download?
Hey Manio, it's the full game.
