Yeah, good resource! But, I'd already tried the direct Terminal approach to loading mods. It seems the Windows .big file just doesn't want to run under the Mac version as is.

I still haven't found an uncorrupted version of the Complex 8.24 download for Mac. But, based on what you guys are taking out of it in the Enhanced version, I may just stick with 7.43 for now anyway. I haven't dealt with the newer "energy system" introduced in v8.x, but it sounds like it might be more hassle than fun?

I still want to try Enhanced, if for no other reason than to remove the Juggernauts. The game is a slow descent into hell sometimes, once the AI starts building those! :P

Anyway, thanks again for the links. At least I'm enjoying a version of the Complex mod for now. Looking forward to the next!

I appreciate the links :) I've already been the rounds to those places to no avail. I have Homeworld 2 v1.11 for Mac, running on a 2010 Intel iMac (OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, 27" 4-core 17, blah blah).

I was finally able to download and run Complex v7.43 for Mac, using ModRunner to manage it. That's my first look at the Complex Mod effort, and I have to say it's an awesome mod! I've already played with it for quite a few hours. Thank you! :))

The later version of Complex, v8.24 for Mac is a corrupted zip file (downloading from either Moddb or the Complex forum site). None of my unzip utilities will open it. They all report it as corrupted or incomplete.

Complex ENHANCED (the one I really want :))) is Windows Only. I tried running the Windows .BIG file using both ModRunner and HW2 Launcher. Got the same result with both:

- The game itself loads. I can modify all the parameters and settings normally.

- The very first 2P scenario launches, but there's no menus, no keyboard recognition, no mouse cursor (although it does respond to mouse movements at edge of screen for panning). The resource collectors launch. The voice of the Mothership keeps repeating "The Mothership is standing by", over and over, and…. that's as far as I can get.

- There's no real input control, so the only way out is to force quit the program.

- Further down the list, loading ANY scenario past the first one, hard crashes HW2 to the desktop as the scenario loads.

So, at this point, I'm not playing Enhanced.

Unless and until a Mac version is released, it looks like I"m stuck with Complex 7.43 for now.

That doesn't suck, by the the way! I'm loving it as is.

Please let me know if a Mac version of Enhanced comes along, OR a new version of the Complex 8.24 for Mac ZIP file gets sorted out? Thanks!!

The description says supported platforms include Windows, Mac, Linux. I'm not finding a Mac version of this. Any pointers to where I can find that?

I click through the main site and hit a PayPal page in Italian. Do I have to donate to download the Mac version?

I've been following links to here for a Mac version of these mods (Complex and/or Complex Enhanced) but when I arrive, all I can find are Windows versions? Any idea where the Mac versions are? Do they even exist?
