We'd rather die with honor than to live with shame
Yeah I've been thinking about that for years. Sadly it has to be scripted (I know nothing about scripting). I'll see if something can be done when "Fulgore" returns (the script guy :D).
Thanks! Let me know if you have any issues with MR 2.61!
I'd love to have more NPC's around, I really would. The only problem with adding more NPC's is that you'll loose a lot of frames per second. I think we'll just have to wait until OpenMW is ready!
Can you explain your problem a little more in detail? Any error messages? Can you start the game? Can you include the content of your warnings.log found in your Morrowind folder?
Oh thanks so much for solving that soul gem issue.. been bogging me for so long, should have figured that out by now lol..I've been modding for too long ^^
I'll get right on fixing those issues. Let me know if there's anything else!
Regarding the release of 2.4. I only have a few small things to fix, then it should be ready to go down the pipline!
Thanks for your support, it means a lot! :D
Thanks for the info. I'll fix these issues for 2.4 :)
It's fixed now. I plan to release a hotfix in a week or so after I've had some more feedback. Like I said let me know if there's anything else. These excluded:
* Added a chest that were assocciated with a quest to Mebestien Ence's house, Pelagiad.
* The interior for Hall Of Wonders, Ebonheart didn't match the exterior piece.
* Fixed a minor spelling error, from "Vivec Entrence" to "Vivec Entrance".
* Fixed a Door outside Vivec that had a bugged travel marker
Thanks for letting me know about this. I'm on fixing it right away! Let me know if there's anything else!
We'll see If i go through with it. It won't be in this patch if that's the case. Thanks for the suggestion though!
It's lore-correct so why not?
Ya that's np really. I use them too :)
It is if you're using Wyre Mash. Then you can "repair" yoru savegames for each new version. Search for Wyre Mash on google. Should be a readme there too. Btw.. I'll release 1.8 in a few days.
Tbh, not really. I love MW and my current goal is support rebirth to at least v 2.0, still some great things to come so to speak.
Btw, you'll return to Vvardenfell soon, I promise ;)
Sorry for confusing you! What I meant is that I've not reworked the entire island yet (future versions will), rather a large chunk of it.
Nah those aren't using bump mapping, only mip maps or what it's called. Although togheter with bloom and hdr it's awesome :)
It won't be too long ;)
It won't include a lot of graphical replacers. There are some tree replacers that I mentioned in the readme, but these I added only because I had them installed when I worked with this mod in the CS.
It does not. Morrowind Rebirth is all about landscaping & immersion! However you could easily dl it separately!
It's not a graphical replacer mod.. :P
Try MGE XE, real shadows ;)
I swear this will help. Most mods doesn't change Vvardenfell that much, but rather adds new areas or new landmasses. This one will transform Vvardenfell to something really exciting, or so I hope. You'll be able to try it out soon enough!
Part 1 will be out next week. But for the entire island you'll have to wait a bit longer. Anyways part 1 won't be a "small" update since it will change a LOT of things.
If you're using the overhaul I'd advice you from using grassmods.
Strange. I'm guessing you're using both expansions? Try MGE XE: Tesnexus.com
Thanks, anyways there's LOTS of replacers out there. Just go to Planetelderscrolls or TESNexus & start searching :)
If you read the description you will notice that this is NOT a graphical replacer. I've only included some trees made by Vurt. But the other you'll have to fix for yourself :)
Thanks! Just wait for the next version. It's a large improvement!
You could get MW very cheaply if you'd like to try. With graphical replacers and such it really does look great :)
Thanks! But it's just me doing it ;)
Haha it's not I who named it. Anyways I can't let you upload it's not I who made it. It's the work of a composer that I think don't want his work all over the net without credits. Nothing against you :)
It's a battle theme!
But I don't think it should be longer, this due to that battles in Morrowind won't last that long.
It's a bit diffrent with players & enemies that you'll encounter in the wilds. This specific one is a seducer that you will encounter in deadric ruins. If I remove it or not won't matter really for the player :)
It's not the Animal Realism that you can find on the net. This is something I've made from scratch, although it's kinda similar :)
I will ask a friend modder to remove that shoulder plate, thanks for the advice :)
Thanks man! :)
Ye english mods doesn't work that well with german versions. I'm not sure if there's a way to make it work, try the official forums -> Forums.bethsoft.com
Ye credit goes to beckett! You should be real proud of your work. I really enjoy what you've done :)
Lol, it's a construction set screenshot :)
Thanks & I agree with you mate. I will try to make it even better for 1.0 :)
Yo can take any house in Vvardenfell. Although you'll have to live with the bounty ^^
Yes it's high res versions + new hair :)
Thank you! :)
np, be sure to keep an eye out. I'll reply in our conversation when it's done :)
The one I pointed out will work with Morrowind Rebirth when the author of the mod has finished the patch. I guess It won't be longer than 1-2 weeks :)
Are you using this one Planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com ?
Indeed I am.. The best atm:
For Imperials & Dumner I use Better Heads Modular Versions. Search for it on google.
Here you go. Only a few of them though :P
Yes, but you have to make a fresh install, and follow the FAQ I posted at the frontpage. Keep in mind that this mod makes a TON of changes, so there might still be som compatibility-issues.
Reflect is pretty powerful tbh (25 % chance that incoming hostile spells will be reflected back at their caster)
1. From a modders resource, but I can't recall where I found the resource.
2. It is possible, but not a priority. Ebony, Steel, Daedric, Silver and Dwemer crossbows are already included in Rebirth.
I think it's possible to finish the game with this update, but I can't tell for sure.
You need Morrowind to use OpenMW, which is a new engine based on the one for Morrowind. Check the FAQ here: Openmw.org
Yeah I've had plans for Sadrith Mora for a long time.. I can't promise anything just yet.
Nah not really. I don't MGSO myself.. sorry.
Awesome! Can't wait to try it out!
Ah I thought you meant the gallery. It's Red Mountain, the center volcano in Vvardenfell.
Yes it's a unique location. It's close to Vos.
There will be more stuff like this, count on it!
There's nothing wrong with it, just a wierd angle.
Are you using uk/us version of the game? Also post your error-log document here. It can be found in your Morrowind folder.
Haha! Lucky you! ;)
Lol you can think of nothing more to add? :D
As for the combat I'm pretty sure that much can't be done until OpenMW is finished. I'm however aware of at least 2-3 projects that will add for example: Better animations, real dual weilding, slower backpedaling etc. I'll let everyone know when those are completed, if they ever see the light of day so to speak.
Real time dialogue would be cool but I've seen in a current discussion that this won't be possible due to the scriptsystem in Morrowind, it would break a lot of stuff!
Let me know if there's anything else!
Naah it will probably be a full patch instead. Should be ready soon :)
I can agree that it probably should be re-used as a unique dagger but osiris, this is elderscrolls not egypt :D
It's not a problem! I'm glad to spread the word about your wonderful project! Can't wait to see it completed!
Hi krkrkrk! I'm glad you like it and that you haven't had any major issues!
Saves for 2.11 have to be repaired for 2.2 otherwise you'll have a lot of trouble on your hands. The changelog is rather massive and the preview I made doesn't really tell the whole story :]
Thanks for all your suggestions Eric. I'll have some of them in mind! I'm sure you'll like the new Ebonheart for v 2.2!
Sounds awesome! Did you have any issues with it, bugs etc?
I agree, back in the days they actually took their time to make the games perfect, rather than to rush them to keep the kids happy :P
Yes, just waiting for moddb to review the files!
I do understand the issues that it causes but it's also my motivation, to release stuff every now and then and have some sort of deadline, without deadlines I'd probably had stopped long ago.
This next update is probably the biggest one ever made for the mod and I hope that it will finally feel like a "final product" even though it isnt. I have to say that there's a lot of stuff that have been improved since 2.03.
After this update I'll focus more on landscaping, which won't cause any issues with old save-games.
Just outside Seyda Neen to the north. The tower and the shack are part of Seyda Neen!
I'll check em' out.
Sure its np!
No I won't. Rebirth is not a modpack. I'd rather do things myself.
What do you have in mind?
Morrowinds lightning system is kinda screwed sometimes. Im guessing its because the texture replacer Im using for that waterfall.
Thanks Eric, I'm glad you like them! Like I said before the weapon speeds might seem a bit fast compared to vanilla, but I had to turn up the variable since morrowind can't read anything under 1.0. Also if the numbers weren't like I've previewed, there wouldn't be that much of a difference.
I do have things in mind for damage stats don't worry. It will take a bit longer since these changes are quite boring to do and takes up a lot of time. I have however already done changes to daggers/spears/halberds in 2.0. Things might change though when all is in place.
Cause it would be pretty boring to watch my work for 1 complete hour. Besides I don't really sit around 1 hour in a row, I usually take small breaks in between. I really don't have time to clip and paste videos, I rather spend my time doing what I feel is more important. The less time I spend on other things, the faster I finish this and you guys will be able to play it. It's that simple.
Well I can agree that it's a bit sharp. But the org texture is way to blurry and lack detail.
Or not: Img10.imageshack.us
Yupp that's my greatest concern about Skywind. I'm pretty sure they will shut it down sooner or later. In any case I won't abandon this mod anytime soon. Any release prior to 2.0 are BETA versions to me. 2.0 will reflect what I really want to do with Morrowind. However with that said there's still a LOT of things that I'd like to implement/rework/add etc.
Perhaps. I haven't really had time to check Skyrim's construction set as much as I would like to. I haven't really followed the progress of Skywind either. However it's a mod that I would surely like to play later on. We'll see what the future holds, Skywind Rebirth perhaps? And thanks for the kind words!
It's engine related, nothing I can do.
Enjoy! Use the forum section if you are having any issues, that way it's easier for me to find your post and your issue. Link: Moddb.com
1.8 should be done in about a week!
Haha now that u mention it, kinda similar. I didn't make the model!
Does it look like a dragon on the picture? No. If you didn't know there's a Dragonbone armor in the vanilla game. This is just meant to replace that.
Tracking. Nice work so far!
So I've found a few floaters here and there. Especially a Velothi tower outside Vivec that needs fixing. I'll release a new version soon fixing these issues + a few extras.
45 min until upload is done..
I'll just have to add some ownership markers to the new stuff added then I'll upload 1.5. Thanks for the positive feedback!
The ghost is just another dwemer encounter, mainly for variety. Actually that helmet aint a replacer, it's an artifact.
Nope no such version atm. You can always delete the meshes in "datafiles/meshes/f , delete (not really sure of the filename, but it shouldn't be hard to find) wg_tree_01 to 08 , then wg_root_01 to 08. This will SURELY cause floaters!
I can't agree. The vanilla trees are really bad in comparison, these actually look like trees. But you can always delete the meshes and keep the old ones. But that might cause clipping.
Yes it does! Try checking steam if you don't have the expansions or get the GOTY edition.
Thanks! I will. I'm a bit held up with Skyrim atm, but I swear I'll upload a release sometime soon.
Yar-Yulme made these :)
Oh really? Never heard of that. Anyhow it will be a nice addition.
Beckett, ur alive? I guess you're quite busy..
It's an old screenshot, there's now a fully functional barracks/tavern.
Do u get any warnings which can point me to the issue?
and don't forget to download the 1.2 patch.
Yeah you really should! :)
I'm aware of this issue with the seducer, It was a misstake placing it there :P
Anyhow there's a few other errors that has also been fixed in the next version, mainly the "evocation" error. You should really wait with your current playthrough, I've got a new version coming up this weekend, it will be massive.
Regarding the graphics you should know that Rebirth doesn't replace any textures but some of the trees around Ascadian Isles, West Gash & the Bitter Coast.
Check: Planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com for texture replacers.
Yeah I agree, all credit goes to Antares who made the beholder! (and the deathlord ofc). More creatures will be revealed soon.
You mean the soundtrack? No it's included in the Main download!
It's already included in that pack, so no need for that. This was more meant to those who doesn't use MGO :)
Ye ofc the vanilla track is better. But it's nice with some change too :)
I haven't removed any buildings. 2 additions to be honest. There's loads of changes, perhaps not noticable by you, or at this view. I consider this to be far more realistic than the vanilla. Also it gets rid of the horrible texture seams and the unrealistic landscape.
Yes to the left.
Yes it will be out the 30.th of march, at least atm it seems so ^^
Thanks all! There won't be a demo, sorry. Although you'll be able to enjoy the full version in a month or so ^^
Ye but it's not supposed to be the same hehe.. and I'll preview the whole track later, it will give you a clearer picture.
And btw, you guys don't have to use it :)
Hehe, they will ofc be opinial :)
It's not. I got it from a former morrowind modder "Korana".. she's also a modding for Oblivion. Although it's possible to use bumpmaps with the new "Morrowind Code Patch", although someone will have to apply them first, it's not my area of expertise hehe :)
Sure I can snap a few ground-pics for the next preview. :) I can say that the ground will be way smoother than in the vanilla game.
I'm not sure about that just yet. Perhaps later on when I'm done landscaping.
Well then you won't be disappointed.. this overhaul won't act as an texture replacer or anything like that. It WILL however add new content like bigger cities, NPC.s and other things. Besides you won't need any texture packs to play this, besides those of your own choise :)
