However, roads are not made to fit the terrain. It's completely the opposite: You lower/raise the terrain to get a road that is as flat as possible, or with smooth and as few slopes as possible. I wouldn't want to drive a car through the mountains on of your roads. :p

quite a strange move indeed.. we are far from dead, we just don't use our forums that much. :)
Of course you can do what you want, but it seems really strange to leave a not-dead dev. team of an american civil war mod to start your own mod.. with a similar setting/system.

Don't worry.. one of the first things we did was slow the default movement/sprint speed down by half :)

and yes.. I prefer more interactive combat as well :)
