have you had a look at this thread?
If you still have issue after that, please post a new forum thread and I will help you out.
Thanks! Iam glad to hear that.
The amount of players keeps growing for each day, so there will be more and more players that hosts games as time goes :)
No worries, iam here to help anyways :)
Of course, only glad to help.
No not at all, you can find me on skype with username "ajdaan".
You can play local co-op on the demo. This requires atleast one xbox 360 controller though.
Thanks for your input!
It's not really that straight forward. Both games are built in the game library XNA, but not in the same engine. Removing the background won't help iam afraid. The issue at hand is that low-end pc's are not built to play games even if they sometimes work somewhat. However we are doing our best to optimize the game as much as possible to enable players with weaker computers to play in the future.
Also, those who suspect that the their computer not will be up to par can always try the free demo first.
Inside Desura client, right click bloody trapland and select "View Changelog"
At the top right of this page you will find the standalone version or Desura will update the game for you in the client. Just chose "update" after pressing play in the gamelist.
Yeah, I read you forum post, that's the reason for my short answer :)
Probably some corrupt file that was cached then.
Thanks! We will be looking into adding more controllers shortly.
Most people don't experience any issues, but we are actively working on various updates. You could always try the demo and see how it runs for you're if feeling uncertain.
Thanks! but why is that if i may ask?
Inside Desura client -> click "Play" (top of client) -> Right click Bloody Trapland in game list -> View CD-Key
Hard to say without more details. glad it worked out though! :)
Hard to say why it would run slow, what are you exact computer specs? It might be low memory issue or some other application holding it back.
More or less all games built in XNA has this issue sense ordinary usb controllers aren't supported by default (Microsoft wants to sell more controllers iguess). We will however looking into adding this in a later patch.
No currently not, right now we are focusing on adding some more features to the PC version.
But when those are complete Xbox is next in line.
(In other words, some time this year, no exact date though)
We would love to release on OUYA, but as far as I know they will not be supporting XNA. I could be wrong though. Might be a bit soon to say as well.
But we will definitely look into if it's possible to make a OUYA port.
Currently we are working on a release for Xbox. But if the demand gets high enough we will look into a port for Mac and Linux as well.
We have plans for supporting more controllers in the future, but other things are prioritized right now. Will be releasing a patch focusing on online play later this week, that will include chat, server commands and some various fixes and features.
Glad to hear that, thanks! :)
You will need at least one xbox 360 controller connected to be able to play 2 players on the same computer.
You could try using paypal instead maybe. If not try contacting Desuras support.
Hard to say without more precise information.
But you could try:
Uninstalling the demo completely, restart Desura, install again.
If this dosen't work try reinstalling Desura client.
Have a look at this thread and see if it helps with your issue:
You can find and read the error report thats been created in: C:\Users\*user*\AppData\Roaming\Bloody Trapland\Errors
It is possible to make custom graphics, read the comments here for more info:
We also have plans for releasing the editor and a community maps section in the future.
When the ping doesn't show it's because the host is behind a firewall/router, he will need to forward port 6883. There is a guide about this in the forum.
I might be the wrong person to awnser this as I'm quite partial. But if you like hard platformers you will most probably like this one. You can find a lot of playthroughs on youtube to get other peoples honest opinions.
The ones who comment is those experiencing problems, the vast majority have none and dosen't comment.
Thanks for reporting this, ill look into it!
Great! Yes a patch will most probably be released in next week :)
Hey, with bad connection I don't only mean the ping, package loss is the main reason for the timeouts happening. My guess would be that some kind of firewall is causing your problems, so if you would get hamachi to work I think you will get around this.
